Which procedure would help me achieve more upper teeth show?
Tooth show
Dec 5, 2023
A full set of standardized photos would be best to help answer this question. From the photo given, it appears that the upper lip is already short, however it may be related to the angle that it was taken at. If the upper lip is truly short, then a lip lift will shorten it even more. When the upper lip is the appropriate length, then lack of tooth show may be due to the bony structure (the maxilla). If the maxilla is setback (also known as hypoplastic), then I recommend seeing either an Oral…
42, 83kg, female, caucasian, how to get a cute button nose?
Refining nose shape
Dec 4, 2023
I encourage you to see a facial plastic surgeon who performs rhinoplasty. They will be able to discuss your concerns in detail and make recommendations. From the profile photo provided, you could be a good candidate. I do not think “liquid rhinoplasty” (which is filler placed in the nose to sculpt it) will give the result you are looking for. However, the in-person history and physical evaluation will best guide your care.
How long should I wait before moving forward with a rhinoplasty after a brow lift with buccal fat re
Healing time
Dec 4, 2023
The swelling of the soft tissue around the brows and the chin needs to settle down which takes around 4 months. Swelling of the chin shape, the forehead, and root of the nose where it meets the forehead can alter the way the nose appears. Refining the nose shape depends on being able to accurately see these other structures of the face so that the nose can be adjusted to fit the overall face.
Can filler be removed during lower eye lid surgery?
Dissolving filler
Nov 29, 2023
Usually both the injection of the enzyme and removal of residual filler during surgery are performed to manage filler in the under-eye area. Even though the enzyme is injected in the soft tissue, it does not fully remove the filler. It is difficult to remove the filler during surgery, so dissolving as much as possible beforehand is very helpful. The reason it is difficult is that there are little droplets of the filler are found throughout the soft tissues and they are not sequestered to a…
Is it malar edema or malar bags?
Mid cheek groove
Nov 29, 2023
This mid cheek groove is related to the soft tissue of the cheek and a combination of treatments may be used to address it. Removal of the three lower orbital fat pads during lower blepharoplasty will not worsen the cheek, however it will not improve it either. The mid cheek groove is often caused by volume loss in the area from either weight loss or sagging of the cheek tissue. Replacing volume with platelet rich fibrin, fat graft, hyaluronic acid fillers, or sub-malar implants can help. In…
Chin implant instead of facelift for excess skin in the lower part?
Jaw contouring
Nov 27, 2023
I recommend a filler to lengthen the chin (from top to bottom) in order to achieve more of a V shape from the front (such as Juvéderm Volux or Restylane Lyft). A profile photo with neutral facial expression would help to determine your chin proportion. However, with the profile photo given, the chin appears to have adequate projection. If you get a chin implant, it could give excess projection. When a chin has excess projection, it can look like a “witch’s chin” and give a concave shape …
Could eyelid surgery infection spread to cheek/infraorbital rim implants?
Risk of implant infection
Nov 27, 2023
Whenever there is a surgery that exposes the location of an implant, there is a risk of infection which requires removal. Fortunately, the risk of infection in the face is the lowest of all the places in the body. Additionally, canthopexy and repair of retraction are important for the health of the eye. If the eyelid droops and/or is retracted, then the lining of the eye gets irritated and can develop an ulcer. In the majority of cases, patients have antibiotics before an incision is made…
