36 year old candidate for a facelift (jowls, fat underneath the chin and asymmetry) – What are yo
Facelift surgery to tighten the jaw line
May 6, 2020
Thanks for sending in our photos.Yes a mini facelift would sharpen your jawline but probably have little effect on you neck. Many patients at your age are opting for strengthening the jawline with fillers to achieve a very similar effect. As a surgeon of course I am happy to offer surgical options for patients, but I have been seeing such nice results with fillers in our younger patients that I would likely recomend fillers at your stage.I recommend you consult a practice that does both.Good luck
Would a facelift/thread lifts be enough to give me some symmetry?
Safe treatments for facial asymetry
May 6, 2020
Thanks for your photos. Your face is very normal. Asymmetry of the facial bones, fat pads and skin is the case for everyone. What you point out in your photos is mainly volumed discrepancy and could be safely improved with the use of commercial fillers and perhaps less reliably with facial fat transfer.I don’t think pulling the skin with a facelift or temporarily with threads is going to look good Go slowly with your treatments as you look very good and I wouldn’t want you to over do i…
Should I get chin implant to bring out the area between my lips and chin that dips in a little to
Perfect chin
May 6, 2020
You have a perfect chin! The depression half way between the chin and lips is called the “Mento-Labial sulcus” Directly behind the sulcus are the roots of your lower teeth. Because of this it’s not possible to secure implants into this area. Chin implants are placed at the lower edge of the chin along the jaw bone. If you were to place a chin implant this would bring the chin more forward and make the sulcus look even deeper. Be carefull trying to fill the very small dimple as it might pro…
Am I a good candidate for a lip lift?
Would a lip lift give the result your looking for
May 6, 2020
Thanks for your question, and for sending in photos thats really helpful. Rhinoplasty will not have a direct effect on the length of your upper lip. If you feel that your lip length is longer than you like, a bullhorn lip lift would allow you to shorten it by several millitmeters.A lip lift does two main things.      1) Improves the balance of lip length with the overall facial length     2) Allows more tooth show at rest and when talkingIf you think these would be positives for you then tal…
What would be the best minimal rhinoplasty procedure for my nose?
Is it worth it for such subtle rhinoplasty changes
Jan 24, 2020
From your photos it is hard to asses your nose and face, although from what I can see you have a great nose. Front view, profile view and partial profile views would be helpful to see those features you describe. I suggest you see a rhinoplasty specialist in your area who can do computer imaging to set proper expectations about what is surgically possible. You may not need osteotomies depending on your situation, although they are nothing to worry about. Making even the most subtle changes…
What are my options regarding rhinoplasty? Would my nose be a good applicant for this surgery? (p
Reduction Rhinoplasty
Jan 15, 2020
Thanks for your question and for sending in your photos. You do have a unique nose but there are some changes you could make with Rhinoplasty that could improve how it fits in with your other facial features.Your nasal tip is over projected and perhaps slightly downturned .  Bringing this closer to the face would be helpful but be careful how much you do this. Bringing any facial feature inward on your side view will  make it look rounder on the front view. You also have thick skin and likely…
Can a brow lift be done for a man with very limited amount of hair (almost bald)?
Browlift hidden in forehead wrinkle
Dec 23, 2019
Thanks for your question. Yes a brow lift can be performed in balding men. Obviously a scar of some sort will be inevitable. Most men have horizontal furrows in the brow that can be used to hide the incision for  a mid forehead brow lift. Of course everyone’s skin heals differently but if you scar well its certainly an option.Good Luck!
