Crater deformity, or saucer deformity can be caused by excessive removal of breast tissue The entire gland can be removed. What is important is to not remove too much fat. The surgery must be perfomed with finesse, leaving some fat to provide structure and shape to the chest and to the Nipple areola complex so you will not be left with contour deformities.
Many patients I see do not want to see or feel gynecomastia any more. I have had two cases where the post-operative apprearance of my pa…

You clearly have a very difficult situation and you have endured a lot of frustration. I am sorry you’ve been through all of this. Your situtation can be improved.
You state that your surgeion left some glandular tissue behind to prevent indents. What prevents crater deformity is leaving some fat behind. The Nipple areola complex (NAC) is technically part of the breast. So, in a sense, you are leaving a tiny bit of breast tissue behind. But that thin rim of breast tissue on the posterior …

What you are describing is referred to as aninmation deformity. This is caused by excessive removal of breast tissue and fat in the area where deformity occurs. The scar tissue which forms to heal and surgical site tethers the area of over-resection to the pectoralis major muscle. So, when the muscle contracts, it pulls on the scarred tissue almost like a marionette string. The only way of correcting this is to release the scar tissue and place grafts of solid fat or fat and dermis between …

I’m so sorry you had a bad experience with anesthesia in the past. In my practice, like many others, there are multiple options available for anesthesia. Your board-certified anesesiologist will discuss options with you based on your previous experience. MAC anesthesia is commonly used without the side effects some experience with general anesthesia. We also include ant-nausea meds in the anethesia to ensure you are comfortable. The anesthesiologist with remain at your bedside for the d…

Gynecomastia Gland Removal – Finasteride

You can have the gland comepletely removed. I use vasculatised flaps of adjacent fatty tissue to fill in the space and eliminate or prevent contour deformity. You do not need to trade off gynecomastia for a contour deformity. If you are using Finasteride for hair Growth, you may consider PRF for hair growth as it can be very effective without the side of effects of medication.
