In most cases I tell patients exactly what you were told by the PS you consulted with- which is unless the skin is anchored to the SMAS it will always return back to which it came from. Thank you for your question! If you are experiencing “shiny” skin, you may have an excess of oil production. Sometimes this is due to having “oily skin” and sometimes excessive oil production occurs when a patient tries to over dry the skin by “stripping the skin”.
