There is minimal research on autologous fat cell derived stem cells. Does this work or not?
Stem Cells

Although there is no clear cut data, there are over 4700 NIH-sponsored clinical trials underway to understand all the pathways and possible application of stem cell therapy. It’s obviously the new frontier of hair restoration. Unfortunately, those studies are hard to evaluate and compare because they are not standardized. However, the overall results seem to show potential. For now it is still experimental with no clear cut guidelines regarding technique.
21, male, is this hair loss just androgenic alopecia?

Without an in-person examination of your scalp and hair, there is not much that can be assumed based on the pictures. With AGA, hair loss/thinning of the sides and back is not typical. My suggestion is to see a dermatologist for a full evaluation.
Could an eyebrow transplant make my eyebrows flatter?
Grooming.

While there is a chance that a skilled HT surgeon could get you the look you desire, IMO, this is using a shovel where a spoon would suffice. Have you sought out the care and help of a cosmetic eyebrow specialist? They would likely be able to groom/pluck/trim your natural eyebrows to contour them into a shape that you find more appealing. This will certainly be more affordable, less painful and less invasive than a transplant. The other thing to keep in mind is that the brow lowers…
2 years post-op crown transplant & need revision due to discomfort, is this a good option?
additional procedures.

Whenever I counsel a patient I make it very clear that most patients will want more than one procedure in order to get better density in the recipient area. Your actual results look very good to me. But there is no harm is doing a second transplant in order to improve density and uniformity. Sometime results look patchier after a few years because native hair that was present at the first procedure has now fallen out, leaving blank areas. Continued use of maintenance medications is…
Patchy growth 157 days post op. Is it too early to tell whether my FUE hair transplant was a failur
More time

Every patient is different but we will not assess our post op results before 250 days. At about 8 months you can expect to be at about 80% of results but for 100% final eval you really do need to wait a year. The natural hair cycle is LONG and it takes a lot of patience but will be worth it.
Is there any risk to having a hair transplant procedure 3 weeks after rhinoplasty?
swelling

Sep 19, 2023
My one hesitation would be that about 20% of patients get significant swelling of the forehead, eyes and bridge of nose after a transplant. Ideally, if you can avoid doing a transplant until 90 days, (assuming no complications from your rhinoplasty) then you’ll be better able to deal with this, if it arises.
Will female hair transplant give me more hair overall?
Donor hair

Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. The donor area is like a bank account where you can only make withdrawals. There is not any regrowth of hair that has been removed. In the donor area, if it is of normal density, you usually have the possibility of two or more procedures before you exhaust the supply of donor hair available (without making the area look sparse as well). So as you suspect, the overall number of follicles/hairs you have will not increase, just change location. I hope…
