Rhinoplasty Result
Dec 5, 2023
Hello! At 5 months post-revision, there’s still time for swelling to improve. Waiting at least 12 months before determining the need for additional surgery is a good idea. Taping and steroid injections in the meantime are often useful for swelling. An alarplasty may be able to adjust the nostril asymmetry present. I would continue follow-up with your surgeon until enough time has elapsed. Hope this helps.

Rhinoplasty
Nov 14, 2023
Hello! It doesn’t appear to be necrosis. It could be a skin condition such as rosacea. May be worth seeking out a Dermatologist if you haven’t already. IPL is another option. There could be an underlying infection that may respond to a course of antibiotics. I would seek a visit with your surgeon to ensure your healing is optimal.
14 months post-op closed rhinoplasty – what is this ridge on my nostril?
Revision Rhinoplasty
Nov 14, 2023
Hello! Thanks for your question. I see what you’re talking about. That transition area can be challenging but should be smooth in nature. It is typically a prominent part of tip cartilage that transitions too harshly to the soft tissue of the nostril. It can be improved. I wouldn’t say it’s too risky. Seek consultation with a Facial Plastic Surgeon near you to learn more. Hope this is useful!
Is this a silicone implant or natural?
Silicone or Natural
Nov 7, 2023
Hello. It’s hard to tell in the photos to be honest. Many times, Asian countries will use silicone implants. It could be natural as well. Meeting with a Facial Plastic Surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty and can take photos of you may provide more clarity on what is possible for you.
Nasal valve collapse – how long should I wait for a revision?
Revision Rhinoplasty
Nov 6, 2023
Hello! Thanks for your post and photos. I would agree with waiting toward 12 months before considering a revision. The nasal obstruction likely won’t improve, but as swelling comes down, other issues may need to be addressed. There are techniques to help open the nasal passageway so don’t feel like this is necessarily permanent. I would continue good follow-up with your surgeon to evaluate the surgical plan. If needed, seek consultation with others. Hope this is useful.
My after nose looks worse 8 months post-op, am I botched?
Botched Nose
Nov 6, 2023
Hello. I don’t think your nose is botched. Revision surgery can be difficult. I see the areas that you’re concerned with. I would give time at least past 12-15 months before considering a revision. There is still time for swelling to improve. Taping and steroid injections may be good options to improve your nose before doing surgery. Hope this helps.

Scars
Oct 30, 2023
Hi there. Lasers would be a good option. There are many different types that help to smooth the skin and improve coloration. This doesn’t mean they’ll be completely gone – but, rather improved. I would seek consultation at a MedSpa to see what option may be best for you.
