Connecting the hairline to the temples
May 14, 2019
May 14, 2019
Hi there, sorry to hear this is affecting your confidence. I would be interested to know if you are taking any medications to prevent further hair recession. Your surgeon may have originally connected the hairline to the temples but you could have receded behind this if you were not taking medications to prevent hair loss. I would have this discussion with your surgeon. If they are not being helpful then of course seek a second opinion. All the best
Will I be able to get a good amount of grafts placed in between my existing hairs?
Are you a good candidate for hair transplantation?
May 14, 2019
May 14, 2019
Hi there, at 23 years old I would suggest you do not hastily choose to have a hair transplant. Without stabilising your hair loss you will continue to recede and that would make any hair transplant to recreate a hairline obsolete. Starting minoxidil sooner rather than later is a good choice if you cannot take Finasteride. I would suggest you visit a hair transplant surgeon who can better advise and create an end to end plan accounting for your hair loss now and the future.

If you are concerned about the density that has been achieved with your surgery you ought to go back and see your surgeon who will be able to advise on treatment so far and create a plan for eventual treatment if you needed a further operation.
7 months post-op I am still getting pain along the hairline. Thoughts or advice?
Pain along the hairline

As answered earlier, I would agree and suggest this might be a pain related to a nerve being damaged during your operation. This might take a while to heal but usually should settle within a year. I hope that helps.
Should I expect any further regrowth after FUE hair transplant?
5 months post transplant
May 14, 2019
May 14, 2019
Hi there, at 5 months post transplant it is still too early to determine growth especially as the hairs that have grown are yet to thicken. I would suggest you wait until 12 months to fully assess your transplant result.
Am I suitable for a hair transplant even though I don’t have a huge amount of hair loss? I want to
Hair Transplant into your hairline
May 14, 2019

I think it would be a good idea to get your hairline assessed in person as this will be the only way a surgeon could accurately assess whether there is enough space for implantation of new grafts. Looking at your photos this is unlikely.
Discreet hair transplant to lower hairline: how many grafts? Would I have to shave head? Recovery
Hairline hair transplant

The number of grafts required to lower your hairline can only really be assessed in person as this will depend on the thickness of your hair shaft and your total area required for transplantation. You should be fine to have an unshaven hair transplant whereby on the back and sides are shaved to extract hair, but your hair on top remains long so you can conceal your hairline transplant. Following 2 weeks you will have little signs of any surgery.
