Uneven Nipples After Breast Augmentation and Lift
Uneven Nipples After Breast Augmentation and Lift
Oct 4, 2016
Uneven nipples after a breast augmentation and lift can be caused by a variety of reasons. Some possibilities include an implant that has dropped too low, causing the the nipple to rise higher; differences between the two breasts in the distance between the nipple and and the breast crease; differences in healing. The exact cause needs to be carefully analyzed and corrected. Almost always, some secondary surgical treatment will improve asymmetries between the...
Moderate Vs High Profile Breast Implants to Retain Cup Size?
Moderate vs. High Profile Breast Implants
Oct 4, 2016
The implant profile is most often chosen based upon specific individual anatomy from one patient to another. Generally speaking, the higher the profile of the implant, the less natural it appears, but the better the imolant will reduce (fill out) loose skin over it. In addition, a higher iprofile implant is more narrow; therefore, there will be less fullness along the sides of the beasts.
Breast Implants That Do Not Settle
Correcting Implants That Do Not Settle
Oct 4, 2016
From time to time, implants - when placed under the muscle - do not fall adequately into the lower portion of the breasts. The photo you submitted suggests that the implant hasn’t fully dropped as expected. It is possible that a secondary procedure to release the breast tissue and/or the muscle in the lower portion of the breast will improve this condition. It is also possible that excessive scar tissue has enveloped the implant, causing it to sit too high. In this c...
What Can I Do to Fix the Rippling/Wrinkling on my Breasts?
Fixing Rippling/Winkling On the Breasts
Oct 4, 2016
The primary causes of rippling/wrinkling of the breasts following breast augmentation are:

1. The patient is very thin, with little fat to camouflage the implant.

2. The implant is placed above the muscle.

3. Saline implants are used.

Replacing the saline implant with a silicone gel implant often improves rippling dramatically. In addition, converting the position of the implant to under the muscle as opposed to over the muscle can also improve upper breast rippling...

Body Lift - How Long Do Results Last?
Body Lift Surgery - How Long Do Results Last
Sep 13, 2016
The results of tummy tuck and body lift surgery can be long lasting (many years). It’s highly dependent upon a person’s motivation to maintain muscle tone and a stable weight through a healthy lifestyle and dietary restrictions. As with most cosmetic procedures, the aging process continues, and the potential for additional surgery is always possible. Yet secondary procedures tend to be simpler and less involved in order to restore the results achieved from the previous procedure.
Body Lift Revision
Body Lift Revision Surgery
Sep 13, 2016
Revisional surgery can be very useful at correcting the issues you have. Because I do not have an accurate visual representation of your concern, it would be more realistic to evaluate you in person in order to be specific about what can be done. Skin removal surgery after weight loss does not necessarily follow a cookie cutter recipe. Experience and creativity are necessary to address individual concerns. Fat grafting of the buttocks can be useful to create fuller, rounder buttocks that...
What is the Typical Recovery from a Lower Body Lift?
Recovery from Body Lift Surgery
Sep 13, 2016
A body lift almost always accompanies a tummy tuck in a person who has lost 100 pounds or more. The previous excess weight expands the skin, making skin redundancy the norm in someone who has lost over a 100 pounds. The body lift portion of the procedure does not typically lengthen the recovery from tummy tuck surgery yet makes the first week or so a little more difficult because the incision is circumferential. The vast majority of patients should still be able to return to work in a couple...
Can you have a full body lift, Brazilian butt lift, and fat transfer to contour bod
Combining body lift, Brazilian Butt Lift, and fat transfer in one surgery
Sep 13, 2016
Yes, I prefer tummy tuck and body lift surgery along with fat grafting of the buttocks (Brazilian Butt Lift) to be done simultaneously. This provides me with the greatest opportunity to contour the entire abdominal-hip-buttock aesthetic unit in the most attractive way. In addition, the fat that is to be removed during surgery can be converted to the fat that is placed in the buttocks to enhance the projection, roundness and fullness of the buttocks. If, on the other hand, the procedures are...
Do I really need a lift or can I just do breast augmentation so they can look fulle
Do I really need a lift or can I just do breast augmentation so they can look fuller on the top?
Feb 2, 2016
It appears from the photo that both breast augmentation and a
breast lift would be more suitable for your anatomy. When the nipple falls
below the breast fold and/or the nipple is at the bottom of the breast, a
breast lift usually is required. In order to achieve adequate fullness in the
upper part of the breast and attractive projection of the breast, an implant is
often necessary for those women who have lost breast volume or who are less
than a C cup.
Can I get a Brazilian Butt Lift and Breast implant at the same time?
Can I get a Brazilian Butt Lift and Breast implant at the same time?
Feb 2, 2016
Yes, combining procedures is very common in cosmetic plastic surgery.
It is not unusual to perform breast surgery and body contouring surgery at the
same time. The advantage of this is you will have just one recovery period and greater overall aesthetic improvement.
What implant to choose?
What implant to choose?
Feb 2, 2016
The teardrop implants that you have are
characterized by a textured surface which adheres to the surrounding tissue;
and therefore, they move less and are firmer than smooth-walled implants. To
switch from your current implants to smooth-walled implants can be done if your
goal is a softer, more natural breast. A smooth-walled implant will fall more
to the side when lying on your back. Some women do not like this effect because
it creates a greater gap between the breasts. All implants have...
Can the volume of silicone implants be changed?
Can the volume of silicone implants be changed?
Feb 2, 2016
Implants
come in many shapes and sizes. As an example, Allergan mid range
silicone implant style 15 comes in sizes that include 304 cc, 339
cc, 371 cc, etc. Mentor has four different profiles that all have
different sizing increments as well. I would advise you to look up your
implant manufacturer to get an idea of the size options available for the
particular style you have.
Plastic Surgeon Vs. Cosmetic Surgeon - What's the Difference?
Plastic Surgeon Vs. Cosmetic Surgeon - What's the Difference?
Feb 1, 2016
A plastic surgeon has been thoroughly
trained in all surgical disciplines and completed a residency program in
plastic surgery as well. Qualified plastic surgeons are board certified by the
American Board of Plastic Surgery. Plastic surgeons who sub-specialize in
aesthetic surgery are also members of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic
Surgery because they have qualified for membership via peer review and
experience in this area. On the other hand, cosmetic surgeons often...
Does profile change implant size?
Does profile change implant size?
Feb 1, 2016
Profile changes the
shape of the implant rather than the volume. For instance, each manufacturer
has several profiles from low to ultra high for the same volume. As an implant
changes from low profile to ultra high profile, the base diameter of the
implant decreases, and the projection of the implant increases. The volume does
not necessarily change. Each manufacturer has a chart of implant volumes with
profile dimensions, including height and diameter of the implant for each
profile. It can...
Changing moderate profile to high profile ?
Changing From Moderate Profile to High Profile Breast Implants
Jan 27, 2016
This depends
somewhat upon the implant manufacturer. These measurements I’m providing are
based upon the Allergan moderate profile saline (style 68) implant, which most
accurately matches your description. The base measure of a 420 cc moderate
profile implant is 13.4 cm. It could be slightly narrower if the implant has
been filled more than 420 ccs. If you go to the high profile 550 cc Allergan
implant (style 20), the base diameter is 13.5 cm. Thus, it is unlikely there
will be any change...
