1) It is a safe procedure - I would give it a 3. There is a definite but low risk of facial nerve injury and parotid duct injury. 2) You do have some mild fullness in the anterior cheek area, but to get a more dramatic look, combine the buccal fat pad removal with a cheek augmentation, either with an implant or with fat injection. Good question! I do recognize the fact that your skin is not as tight as in some patients, but I would certainly not start off with a facelift. There are a variety of nonsurgical skin tightening procedures that you should investigate and even try before considering surgical skin tightening. You may also wish to consider fat grafting to fill out the skin laxity. Start off with a visit to a board-certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation.

Your photograph suggests that you are a young woman with what appears to be good skin tone. In such a case, fat removal alone via liposuction with possible excision of deeper fat may work very well since the skin may shrink beautifully without the need for skin excision as performed with a facelift. It sounds as though your plastic surgeon agrees with that assessment. I would trust him.

Although tightness and swelling are normal after surgery, you should be evaluated for muscle weakness in the lip region that could be affecting the range of movement of the mouth and your speech. The good news is that even if it is present, perhaps due to a nerve issue, it's almost always temporary. Follow up with your plastic surgeon for a full evaluation.

This is the characteristic appearance of internal sutures undergoing dissolution. Could also be due to any number of other factors. Keep it clean, forget the strips, and allow it to heal on its own.

As for your question about danger involved in digastric muscle reduction, it is safe when done properly.The questions that you should be asking, however, are #1 - do you even need a facelift? #2 - The second question is where is the fullness of the area beneath your chin that requires digastric and subplatysmal fat contouring? Disaster awaits the slender patient who allows this to be done. You will be "hollowed out" in an irreparable way. Buyer beware!!

Yes, the belly button can certainly be removed during a tummy tuck and reconstructed in a 2nd operation at a later date. The umbilical hernia would also be repaired. To top it all off, the diastasis repair would not only improve your appearance, but would also reinforce the hernia repair, making it more secure.

Hi! In view of your moderate skin laxity, the lack of any muscle banding in the front of your neck, and the presence of jowls, I think that a limited necklift should work very well for you. It can be done under local anesthesia with an approximate 10-14 day recovery. Scarring is usually minimal and there is minimal pain - most patients describe it as soreness. This procedure goes by many names, including MACS-Lift. Check with a plastic surgeon in your area for an evaluation and more details.

Have this evaluated by your plastic surgeon to make sure that it does not represent a small hematoma displacing your implant upward. If this is not the case and if your breasts were round immediately after surgery, I suspect this may even out with time. Wearing a bra with a strap to press the implant downward may be all that you need to settle the implant into position. 
Follow-Up Question: How would you know if you had permanent nerve damage after a facelift?

The skin in front of and behind the ear is the most common site for loss of sensation following a facelift. It is caused by the inevitable cutting of the small branches of significant sensory nerves in the area at the time of the facelift.  Fortunately, the loss of sensation in these regions is rarely permanent and sensation returns with time. This may be why your surgeon doesn't seem worried.
Why don't you call your doctor's nurse, explain you concerns, and ask for a 10 minute doctor...

It is possible and safe to perform fat grafting over an implant. About 60% of the fat usually survives as long as there is an adequate blood supply, which there should be over your chin implant. Speak with your plastic surgeon for their definitive recommendations.
Can fat transfer really help me or is the only solution a full surgical arm lift?

A full surgical arm lift will remove excess skin, but will not improve the quality of the remaining skin. Fat injection would, I believe, be equally ineffective. With fat transfer the skin envelope would be filled out more, but there would still be the "crepiness" of the remaining skin.

You have two issues with your belly button: #1 - "It's heart shaped." - What I see is an elliptical shape, not a round one. Jowls have different causes in different people. If there is only a bit of excess fat with tight skin, liposuction alone will work well. For other people, use of a filler like Voluma that lifts the cheek tissue is of great help. In your particular case, however, you have a combination of loose skin and excess tissue. A minimal surgical lift of the jawline region done under local anesthesia may be quite effective. See a plastic surgeon for an evaluation.
