Botox Facelift Cost
Actually, Botox facelift is affordable. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the cost per treatment in the United States averages between $300.00 and $500.00, with results that last up to 4 months on average.
First, you always need to meet with the Physician or Nurse to determine if botox is the right product for your facial concerns.
A lot of patients come in and think they need Botox facelift when they may need an injectable filler or laser resurfacing.
During a free consultation a worksheet is presented to the patient with a projected number of units that will most likely be used during an injection session.
This gives the patient a very good idea of the amount it will cost to complete a session.
At our facility for any new client the cost of Botox is $11.00 per unit (for first visit only) . Regular price is $13.00 per unit. (Vincent N. Zubowicz, MD, Atlanta Plastic Surgeon)
The price for a Botox facelift is variable and usually depends on the number of Botox Units used. The number of Units used is influenced by the desired effect, the amount of current animation, and the strength of the muscles.
For new patients, however, the exact dosing is often discovered through a trial and error process.
Some rough guidelines are:
- Forehead: 16 units
- Crowfeet (around eyes): 8 units per side
- Glabella (between eyes): 18 units
The price in my practice is $12 a Unit, however, new patients receive a discount on their first session.
A detailed examination will help delineate your treatment options. Consultation with a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery would be the next best step. (David Tauber, MD, Albany Plastic Surgeon)
Botox price per unit may vary
In my practice, I charge between $13-15 per unit and generally will inject anywhere from about 20-50 units of Botox in one session, and usually see patients once every 3-4 months for their Botox injections.
I do urge you to check the credentials and experience of your injector prior to your first Botox session. (Stephen A. Goldstein, MD, Englewood Plastic Surgeon)
Botox facelift prices for one, two, or three areas
BOTOX® is distributed in a powder form intended to be mixed by the person doing the injections. Because it is expensive, variations in price can be attributed to different dilutions or the actual amounts injected.
Many of our patients come to us after they were disappointed in BOTOX® injections done somewhere else. In you are like most people considering Botox injections, you just want your forehead wrinkles to disappear or your frown lines to go away.
Unit pricing for Botox facelift is convenient for physicians because that’s how we buy it, but it is very confusing to patients. The amount of Botox needed for full correction fluctuates by the area treated and from person to person.
That’s why we price our BOTOX® by the area treated, not by the unit. And why we have a courtesy touch-up policy.
BOTOX® facelift pricing at our office in Knoxville is as follows:
- One Area BOTOX® – $350
- Two Areas BOTOX® – $500
- Three Areas BOTOX® – $750
The best advice is to find a reputable office of a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area with a talented injector and establish a relationship with them.
You will get the best long-term results because they will have a record of which areas were treated, what worked in the past and should be willing to do touch-ups for you if needed. (David B. Reath, MD, Knoxville Plastic Surgeon)
Botox Facelift Prices in Los Angeles
In LA, I’ve seen everything from $9-$14 per unit. On the lower end of the price range, you’ll typically see less-experienced doctors and on the higher end, doctors and/or plastic surgeons with much more experience.
It’s always smart to shop around, but don’t necessarily go for the lowest price. If you find a plastic surgeon with lots of experience injecting in the middle range at around $12/unit, it’s probably worth the extra $50-$100 total you may pay on 30-50 units.
Another thing to look for, which many experienced practices and doctors offer, is Brilliant Distinctions.
It’s the “frequent flyer” program for Botox/Juvederm/Latisse by that manufacturer, Allergan, which earns patients points with every purchase that can be saved up for a free treatment, or, redeemed for smaller discounts more frequently. (Daniel Yamini, MD, Los Angeles Plastic Surgeon)
Price of Botox Facelift in Chicago
Generally, Botox Facelift in Chicago costs between $10 to $18 per unit, and an average forehead takes 30 units. In my office, I do not charge by the unit, and each session of cosmetic Botox for the face is $300 flat. (Omeed Memar, MD, PhD, Chicago Dermatologic Surgeon)
What’s the cost of Botox facelift?
It is very difficult to bargain shop Botox. Physicians charge by units, zones and volume.
The problem is that you dont know how dilute the physician has made it. So just beware of the very cheap Botox, you may be getting mostly water.
The price for the Botox is almost $6 per unit, so if you’re getting it for a price close to the cost, then you’re likely not getting much Botox and mostly water. The average costs are between $12-18 per unit.
It is important to find a doctor with a lot of experience and an aesthetic eye rather than the cheapest price. (Irvin M. Wiesman, MD, Chicago Plastic Surgeon)
Cost of Botox Injection
You are looking to treat multiple areas so be prepared for some expense. Botox is charged by the unit by the procedure or by the area. Most of these fees are set so once you are evaluated they should be able to tell you exactly your cost.
Remember we are expecting that Reloxin, a competitor to Botox, should be out soon and may help drive down the price. Lastly, dont shop for price with this product because it will vary by $2-5 per unit depending on where you go:It may be $10/unit at medspasA newly trained doctor may charge $11-12/unitExperts will charge $15-17/unit The really good doctors wont compete with the low prices of the medical spas but they will deliver a better result based upon their expertise.
For example, it is fairly easy and straightforward to inject into skin. A profound knowledge of the facial muscles and anatomy will allow your injector to avoid mistakes and complications such as a drooping eyelid and to maximize your results and tailor them to your exact face instead of what they saw in a pamphlet that came with the Botox they ordered.
This is what you are really paying the extra $ for….safety and efficacy. (Shawn Allen, MD, Boulder Dermatologist)
Botox costs 10-14 $ a unit, and you’ll need around 20 units
Of course, prices vary by region and your physicians level of expertise. Most places you go will want you to come back and are most interested in you having a great result. (Charles Perry, MD, Sacramento Plastic Surgeon)
$300-$800 per 3-4 months depending on the areas treated
Botox lasts usually 3-4 months on an average but may be longer in some patients and shorter in others. It can take up to 1 full week to see results. The 3 areas usually done are the crow’s feet on the sides of the eyes, the frown lines between the eyebrows, and the forehead creases.
I charge $300-350 for 1 area, $500-600 for 2 areas and $675-800 for all three areas. If someone wants their upper lip done also with the other areas it is an additional $175 and an additional $300 for the neck platysmal muscles.
Sometimes botox just doesn’t seem to work as good as other times for whatever the reason. If the patient comes back for a touch-up within 2 weeks then I only charge $150 for a touch-up fee. David Hansen, MD. (David Hansen, MD, Beverly Hills Dermatologic Surgeon)
Most common areas for Botox are Forehead, crow’s feet, and the lines in-between the brows (glabella). Patients usually require 50-60 units. Botox can range from 10-14$/UNIT (Chaitali Nangrani, MD, The Woodlands Family Physician)
I would say the average cost of botox per unit is $16 in the chicago area but there are some places that charge less, and that may do to the dilution of the product or the experience of the injector.
I work with my patient’s and take into account what they want to achieve. Do they want to not move their foreheads at all? or do they want to soften their wrinkles around their eyes.
Its important to understand your goals, what makes you feel good about yourself when you look in the mirror. It is very personal, and having a doctor that listens is important to achieving your results. (Cheryl Perlis, MD, FACOG, Lake Bluff OB-GYN)
Botox fees range from facility to facility. The average price range is between $10 to $15 per unit. Our medical spa is in the middle, but often has specials on the lower end. It is important, however, to be sure that whoever you choose is using FDA approved Botox that has been ordered from Allergen.
You want to make sure the Botox is not expired, not imported from another country, is mixed fresh and stored properly. You also want to make sure that your injector is not over diluting the Botox. (Gary Motykie, MD, Los Angeles Plastic Surgeon)
Botox is commonly charged by the unit or by the site. Sites are generally considered the glabella (between the eyebrows), the crows feet, and the forehead. I charge botox by the unit in my practice, and the standard price is $12 per unit.
While this can be confusing initially for patients, I feel that charging by price is the only consistently fair way to price botox. Having a standard price by the site does not take the individual characteristics of each patient into account.
I try to individualize how much botox I use for each patient. Someone with stronger, larger muscles will take more botox; whereas someone with smaller muscles will take less (think: big burly man vs small petite lady).
Therefore, when the pricing is per unit, you are charged for the amount of product you receive. That seems fair to me. If your favorite botox place charges by the site, ask them how many units you are getting in each site and make sure the price correlates correctly.
Lastly, remember that you are not only paying for the product, but also the expertise of the person injecting.
Botox is a great treatment with excellent results and patient satisfaction if used correctly. (Ralph Trey Aquadro, MD, Auburn Plastic Surgeon)
Botox is charged by the area to be treated. For the standard area(s) such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet, our prices range from $400 to $450 for the first area, $700 to $750 for two areas and $900 to $950 for three areas.
This includes a free touch-up, if needed, at 2 -4 weeks. For smaller areas such as the upper lip, prices are usually around $100. (Lori Stetler, MD, Dallas Dermatologic Surgeon)
Some people feel that if they paid more for something than someone else that they got “ripped off”. Someone else might feel that they must have gotten something of greater quality. Factors to consider with respect to the treatment of Botox are the amount of product used, and the skill, experience, and artistry of the person injecting it.
Keeping this in mind, Botox facelift is usually priced by the unit or by the area. I’ve heard ranges from $10-20+ dollars per unit. Different individuals need different amounts of Botox. Some people want or require a more frozen appearance, which might require more product, and others want a more natural look, requiring less.
This option may work out better if your main concern is to not pay for more product than you need. On the other hand the injector may choose to use more product than less to make more money.
On the other hand, sometimes Botox facelift is priced by area or muscle group treated. The benefit is that if you require more Botox than some that you may paying less per unit. The down side is that if you want or require less product, you may be paying more.
There is always a loophole. In the end, other than cost also consider safety, skill, and artistry. (Dina D. Strachan, MD, New York Dermatologist)
Botox Experience Surpasses Cost
“You get what you pay for ” – Inexpensive botox means less experience, less results and more complications. Look for a board certified injector to do you injections. Many nurses and PAs are doing injections in Walk in clinics, home parties and at gyms – Beware.
I have had to correct many bad experiences with non-physicians and even some physicians (not trained in aesthetics).
Do your homework and check out your doctor. That being said $10-$14 is usually the averag price per units and about 20-25 units per area. (Paul E. Goco, MD, Nashville Facial Plastic Surgeon)
We currently charge $15 dollars / unit of botox, but we usually have a special so it ends up being less than that. We also enroll people in the brilliant distinctions program where they receive rebates from the manufacturer. (Sanjiv Kayastha, MD, Albany Plastic Surgeon)
Botox facelift costs depend on experience
Most reputable practitioners charge by the unit of Botox, so the total cost depends on how much and how many areas you’ll be having treated. This might range from $10-15 per unit, and may involve as little as 10 or as many as 50 units for a typical visit.
Price shouldn’t be the final factor, though, when choosing your physician. As with many things in life, you get what you pay for. Most people who are charging less tend to be inexperienced injectors… often non-aesthetically trained physicians, and sometimes not even physicians at all.
Beware the cheapest Botox facelift in town! In Baton Rouge, LA with a fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologist, we currently charge $13 per unit. (Chad L. Prather, MD, Baton Rouge Dermatologic Surgeon)
