She is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Lahey Health Speakers Bureau. She has published many scientific articles in prestigious medical journals and received a National Institute of Health Fellowship.

In 2020, Dr. Petropoulos was named a Top 10 Plastic Surgeon by the National Academy of Plastic Surgeons and one of the American Institute of Plastic Surgeons’ 10 Best Plastic Surgeons.
