Surgery Costs
Oct 19, 2020
Most of the time your quote should have a timeframe on it. In addition to increased costs all over, as you age there is simply “more work to be done”. I honor quotes and will typically extend my quoted fee if there was a reason someone couldn’t follow up with surgery. Hope this helps.
What skin problems can be addressed with an lPL photofacial?
IPL
Aug 10, 2020
Great question– Sometimes these lasers and procedures can be so confusing. Firstly- there are a ton of different lasers on the market and no two (IPL’s) are the same. The IPL laser in our office is used to treat brown spots and red veins/vessels. It feels like a hot rubber band snapping. When you leave you are red and swollen, sometimes bruised if you have a lot of red vessels. Over a few days dark brown spots will appear and flake off. I have never recommended the IPL for wrinkles or pores…
Under-eye hollow and shadow on very thin face. Will laser/CO2 tightening help?
Under Eye-Hollows
Aug 10, 2020
Thank you for your photo and question. My first thought is fillers or surgery. You mentioned the Co2 laser vs fat grafting. I would lean more towards fat. The laser will tighten skin- but laxity is not an issue for you. You need to either remove the bag or fill the hollow. Hope this helps.
Is IPL a good option to treat melasma on Asian skin?
Melasma
Aug 10, 2020
Great question… and as you may be realizing melasma is one of the more difficult conditions to treat. In my practice we do exactly what you are doing- hydroquinone and chemical peels. There are a variety of peels and some work better then others so you may want to try different peels.
Is subcision and CO2 laser the best treatment for my acne scars?
Acne Scars
Aug 10, 2020
Thanks for your question and including photos. As you may be aware, acne scars are difficult to treat. They are deep and require a series of treatments to improve. I have had some success with microneedling with PRP and occasionally the CO2 laser. Good luck!
