Answer Snippet
Is there a surgery to fix my uneven eyes?
eyeball position
Feb 2, 2022
It appears that your actual eyeballs are sitting in different positions. You right eye may be sitting lower (hypoglobus) or your left eye may be sitting high (hyperglobus). Frequently this is a physiologic condition that people are born with. However, there are a number of other causes that need to be ruled out before determining which treatment would be the correct one for you. I recommend that you see an Oculoplastic surgeon who has experience in orbital diseases.
Uneven Eyes – what can be done to help with the asymmetry?
asymmetric brow position
Feb 2, 2022
It appears that your left eye brow sits a bit lower than the right, which will cause the upper eyelid skin to sit lower. A possible quick, non-invasive fix (if your anatomy and muscle function permits) would be to inject Botox, or another neurotoxin (Jeuveau, Dysport, Xeomin) to the left brow depressor muscles to achieve a subtle elevation of the left brow, thus lifting the eyelid skin. The difference is subtle in the photos, however these are showing you in a fixed position, not moving….
Uneven eyelids and one always looks a bit closed in photos – can Eyelid Surgery fix this?
Ptosis surgery
Nov 17, 2021
From the photo you posted, it looks like you have ptosis (drooping) of the right upper eyelid. This can be caused by a loosening of the muscle attachment, weakening of the muscle or abnormal nerve function. The most common cause is loosening of the attachment of the eyelid muscle that raises the eyelid and keeps the lid in place as we look straight ahead. In these cases, surgical repair is straightforward and very successful. I recommend you see on Oculoplastic surgeon in your area to…
Removing fat from outer corner of eyes – could a lateral blepharoplasty be effective?
Treatment of misplaced fat grafting
Nov 1, 2021
It appears that you have a small amount of grafted fat in the lateral orbicularis (which is circled). We typically do not have any subcutaneous fat in this area. Your surgeon could easily aspirate the grafted fat with a fine cannula or a lateral blepharoplasty (incision along the natural lid crease) could be made and the fat removed. If you have not tried gently massaging that area daily, it may be worthwhile to see it the “lump” will flatten.
Is it possible for me to get an epicanthic fold through Eyelid Surgery/other procedures?
Surgical recommends
Oct 15, 2021
Your can creat epicanthic folds with surgery. You would want to make sure that you go to an oculoplastic auger on who has a lot of experience with the medial canthal tissues.
Sudden change of eyelid – what could be the cause?
Cause of swelling
Oct 15, 2021
It is very hard to tell from your photos. It could be allergy related, mechanical irritation (ie rubbing), focal inhalation (like a stye of chalazion) or just worsening ptosis. You could try Upneeq, which is an eye drop that will temporarily raise the affected eyelid.
With new onset, I would want a further work up to rule out other causes of acute onset ptosis, like cranial nerve palsies, myasthenia graves, thyroids issues.
What would you recommend to achieve a less full eyelid and a more refreshed look?
Surgery
Oct 15, 2021
From looking at your photos, it looks like an upper eyelid blepharoplasty would be your best option. However, because of your specifics anatomy (proptosis/protruding), an in person exam would be best to tell if you would have enough residual skin to allow for full closure of the eyelids.
