How Much Does CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Cost?
That’s Cool
Feb 4, 2019
Hi there, the best way to see how much your CoolSculpt procedure will cost is to have a consultation to see how many applicators would be needed to achieve your aesthetic goal. The pricing is nearly the same everywhere. Best, Andrew Smith, MD
For discomfort and swelling after CoolSculpting can I use heat and massage?
Post CoolSculpting Discomfort
Nov 29, 2018
Hi there, for swelling and comfort, wearing a compression garment can be very beneficial. I do not recommend any heat to the area because of numbness, we would not want you to burn yourself. Drinking plenty of water and over the counter pain pills should help as well. If the discomfort continues contact your CoolSculpting Specialist. Hope this helps!

CoolSculpting the Ankles
Oct 10, 2018
We have had success treating the ankles with CoolSculpting in our practice. We typically use a combination of the CoolMini and CoolAdvantage Petite applicators in a customized pattern to fit your unique body and fat growth pattern.I advise finding a practice with experience treating this area to ensure a desired outcome. Best of luck!
Does CoolSculpting not work on everyone?
CoolResults
Sep 10, 2018
The results from CoolSculpting can vary from patient to patient. Given that the practitioner is using the proper application, patients should experience 20-25% reduction of fat in the treated area. Sometimes more! Here are a couple things to consider:* Because you had already had an excellent result from your first CoolSculpting treatment on the abdomen, there was less fat in the area. So, it’s logical to think that 25% reduction in fat from an area that had less fat to begin with would be …
Can CoolSculpting be done on the buttocks?
CoolSculpting on the Buttocks
Sep 10, 2018
CoolSculpting is not recommended for direct application on the buttocks. This is because the applicator would have a flattening or “pancaking” effect that is not a desirable aesthetic. What can be done, however, is an application of CoolSculpting to the surrounding areas: outer thigh or “saddlebags”, directly underneath the buttocks (also known as the “banana roll”), backs of thighs, and the “love handles”. By significantly reducing fat on the areas that frame the buttocks, it creates a m…
Is it safe to do CoolSculpting on the face?
CoolSculpting of the Face
Sep 10, 2018
CoolSculpting of the face is not recommended for several reasons: *There is not enough control of how much fat is removed, and due to the shape and size of the applicator, not enough detail could be achieved. This is very important for faces.*As we age, we inevitably lose fat in our faces, which can cause sagging of the skin and make us look older. Removing too much fat from the face would accelerate this process.*CoolSculpting is permanent. If you lose weight or experience natural fat and c…

CoolSculpting and Inflammation/Liver Health
Sep 10, 2018
CoolSculpting can potentially cause mild and temporary swelling in some patients, just like any other procedure we perform in the office. It is important to note that not every person experiences this. Swelling related to CoolSculpting often only lasts a couple days, or up to 2 weeks in some cases.Inflammation from CoolSculpting is a direct result of manipulating the tissue while it is in a frozen and hardened state. This trauma to the fat cells is what creates an unfavorable environment, ca…
What is a thermal event w a CoolMini? Is there a good cream or thing to do/take to speed up reco
Not to Worry
Aug 6, 2018
You are lucky the thermal event occurred at the very end of your treatment! This means you received a complete treatment on that side. It was responsible of your practitioner to follow protocol and reschedule your second treatment for another day. The thermal event notification is a built in safety feature that simply notifies your practitioner if the surface temperature of your skin becomes slightly higher or lower than the optimal temperature at any point during your treatment. When this …

Thermal Event
Jun 20, 2018
Protocol states that the treatment should have been repeated for the full 45 minute treatment the following day. However, your practitioner may have made the decision to shorten your second treatment so that you don’t end up with more reduction on that side. Symmetry is always the goal. I advise that you continue with your scheduled follow-up visits and monitor the progress. If one side of your abdomen is responding differently, communicate this to your practitioner. Best of luck!
Would you recommend CoolSculpting for me?
CoolSculpting Side Effects
Jun 20, 2018
Thank you for your question. Based on your photos, you appear to be an ideal candidate for CoolSculpting. That being said, I recommend an in-person consultation to confirm.CoolSculpting is a very safe treatment with side effects being incredibly rare. CoolSculpting freezes and destroys fat in a targeted area, and your body then breaks down those dead fat cells and they exit your body as waste. Because these dead cells have left your body, they will not “pop up” somewhere else later on. Onc…

CoolSculpting Vs. Kybella
Jun 13, 2018
We’ve had great success treating this area with CoolSculpting. The CoolMini would be an appropriate applicator choice. CoolSculpting also tends to be less expensive, have fewer side effects, and produce more dramatic results with fewer treatments than Kybella. I hope this helps!

Asymmetrical Treatment
Jun 13, 2018
It’s hard to say without seeing the markings from your original treatment, but as a rule, we do not treat one side of the body without doing the same treatment on the opposite side of the body for symmetry. There are rare exceptions where patients have significant asymmetry that we are attempting to correct with CoolSculpting. In this case, opposite sides of the body can be treated differently.I would reach out to your practitioner for a deeper explanation of why they chose this method. B…
Can CoolSculpting work on knees and lower legs?
CoolSculpting of Knees and Lower Leg
Jun 13, 2018
We have had great success in CoolSculpting the knees, calves, and ankles with CoolSculpting. Keep in mind not every patient is an ideal candidate for this treatment, so an in-person consultation is recommended beforehand. Also, these are considered “off label” areas, so you will need to seek out a practitioner who has experience treating these areas. Best of luck!
Dimply stomach skin as result of CoolSculpting? What do I do to correct this?
“Dimpling” from CoolSculpting
Jun 13, 2018
Without seeing photos, it is hard to tell what the problem is. CoolSculpting does not cause dimpling, but it can potentially cause an indentation if it was placed improperly. If this is the issue, it can be solved by treating the surrounding area to make it more even. Best of luck!
With CoolAdvantage what areas are considered 1 treatment? What about the 45min treatment?
CoolAdvantage Plus
Jun 4, 2018
The CoolAdvantage Plus applicator treats 2.5 times more tissue than the standard CoolAdvantage applicator, therefore it is twice the price. The CoolAdvantage Plus is considered to be a “de-bulking” applicator and works great for patients who need to remove greater volume of fat on the abdomen.
