Early on he found his “why”: from childhood he felt the vocation inherited from his father, one of the pioneers in plastic and reconstructive surgery, widely recognized in Argentina and in the world. Together with his mother, who was an instrumentator, they created a clinic dedicated to the specialty. In this way, the surgical field became the atmosphere of his childhood. Over the years that childish desire to “be like dad” became a conscious decision, a choice of life. I was ready to face all the “hows”. He could begin to realize his dream.
“When he began his medical studies at the University of Buenos Aires, he had been a stable assistant in his father’s surgery for a long time. Once he graduated, he had to take a big leap: his possibilities of action were widened, and the operating room Of the family clinic, he proudly saw his dearest son depart.In the role of Surgeon General of the Hospital Manuel Belgrano he faced a new world, where emergency surgery and trauma predominated.
At the same time he continued to learn alongside his father, a situation that allowed him to capitalize on an enormous experience for his young age, which made his formal studies in plastic surgery a ratification of previously learned knowledge.
During a period of three years his training consisted of rotating through different hospitals, studying subspecialties such as limb surgery, flaps, burns and pediatric plastic surgery, among others.

Already with the title of plastic surgeon, he began to operate his own patients and to identify himself as a professional. He dedicated himself exclusively to cosmetic surgery until in 2006 he had the opportunity to be part of the staff of the Central Military Hospital, and to add the reconstructive surgery to his daily activity.
This life story makes Dr. Appiani solidly reunite two generally incompatible attributes: youth and experience.
