The most important feature of African American noses is that they are thick-skinned. In patients with thick skin, I choose open aprroach as my opinion. Because we get good results with techniques such as skin scoring and supratip suture for thick skin. These techniques are very useful to increase nasal tip definition. An open aprroach would be more appropriate for your nose in my opinion.

There is no harm in performing rhinoplasty after the elephant injection. With pre-operative injections, these elephants are dissolved and the remaining elephants are resected during the operation. If they put cartilage to provide nasal tip support and it is made with permanent sutures, maybe it may be, if there is no discharge in this area, it may not be surgery. Here, it is important what is done in the detailed surgery report and whether permanent stitches are used or not. If this is not the case, a dermatologist consultation would be appropriate.
