Botox is most generally requested for softening of the "angry 11's", the horizontal "washboard" forehead lines, and "crow's" feet at the outer corners of the eyes.  Beautifying results can be achieved in females for $350-$600 depending on the extent of the treatment. Add 25% or more for males - as generally the bulk of the muscles to be treated will be greater.

Depending on which facial muscles were injected, how much Botox was placed, and the particular patient's physiology around Botox, the effects last 3-5 months. Botox works by blocking the motor nerve's ability to release the "neurotransmitter" the triggers the corresponding muscle to contract. The nerve must then sprout new neurotransmitter "releasers" - and this takes a few months.
