What would be the best skin tightening treatment for my face?
Skin tightening and vollume loss.
Apr 11, 2021
The gold standard for skin tightening is a fractional laser resurfacing using the C02 laser. This will give you the best tightening results on your skin. Other modalities such as non-ablative fractional laser and high frequency ultrasound may give you less desirable effects but they certainly are to be considered because they have less recovery time. I also see the effect of gravity and loss of a volume in the areas of your cheeks (jowls- look at your profile photo) , chin and neck. In my…
Transconjunctival blepharoplasty vs. laser treatments for puffy under eye bag/fat pad? (Pho
lower lid fat prolapse
Mar 9, 2021
You do not need a laser to treat your lower lids. You have prolapsing fat. A transconjunctival lower lid blepharoplasty is the procedure that you should be looking into. Before having anything you should have the filler removed from the lower lids. Then see a surgeon that has experience with lower lid transconjunctival blepharoplasty.
What treatments are best for my under eye wrinkles and hollows?
lower eyelid wrinkles and hollowness
Mar 9, 2021
Your lower lids have a combination of surface wrinkles on the skin and tear trough deformity on the deeper levels, giving you the impression of a lower lid hollowness. So there are two areas that need to be addressed. The fine lines on the lower lids are due to the muscle that closes your eye. It is called orbicularis oculi and is causing the fine lines on the skin. There are some options to treat this. Neurotoxin injections may help to a variable degree. Dry eye can be a problem with these…
Which eyelid treatment would you recommend?
Upper and lower lid blepharoplasty
Feb 22, 2021
You have excessive upper and lower lid skin and excessive fat on the lower lids. You also have a pronounced tear trough. Upper and lower lid blepharoplasty is indicated in your condition. It seems that the external approach for the lower lids through a skin incision is a better choice. The lateral malar deflation can also be addressed with a procedure called SOOF lift that can be performed through the same incision used for the lower lid blepharoplasty.
What type of surgery do I need to fix my eyelashes going into my eyes?
Excessive skin removal
Feb 22, 2021
Dear Kilmerzh,You have an interesting combination of excessive skin of the upper and lower lids. I agree with you that you have asymmetry of the eyelid fold on the upper lids. You have a more defined fold on the left upper lid and a faint fold on the right when you look straight ahead. It is possible that the heaviness of the upper lids is worse in the morning. For this condition you need an upper lid blepharoplasty from a surgeon that has significant experience in Asian eyelid surgery…
What is the likelihood of having a successful second surgery after a failed first?
Revision ptosis surgery
Feb 22, 2021
Dear Giving9224,You definitely have asymmetry of the upper lids. It looks like the left eyelid is droopy. In the hands of an experienced oculoplastic surgeon it should not be a challenging problem to correct.Needless to say that you need a proper preoperative evaluation because there are several risk factors for ptosis recurrence. People that use contact lenses tend to also have dry eyes. The combination of the above can potentially cause recurrence of a droopy eyelid or failure of the…
Upper, lower blepharoplasty, brow-lift? Which combination do I need?
upper and lower lid blepharoplasty
Feb 19, 2021
Dear kris10anne,It seems that you have upper lid excessive skin, lower lid fat pad prolapse and compensate with the brows to lift up the lids to be able to see. The deep lines of the forehead show that you have been compensating for years. You can get a nice result just having the upper and lower lid transconjunctival blepharoplasty (since you have no excessive skin on the lower lids). You should consider the brow lift if you wish to improve the forehead lines.
