Hypopigmentation after chemical peel? Is it possible that this is temporary?
Dear Patient
Jan 31, 2019
This is temporary post inflammatory changes of the skin since you just had the peel on Monday.  You should notice your pigment come back after a few days.
Why after 4 months of having a mini tummy tuck w/ liposuction is it still bloated and not flat?
Dear Patient
Jan 31, 2019
It is not uncommon to experience post operative swelling months after a Tummy Tuck.  Wearing a Compression Garmet, taking Arnica and Icing can help reduce the swelling.
Right Cheek lower, left cheek higher? Is there a way to make it more symmetrical?
Dear Patient
Jan 31, 2019
You have great features!  The Morphea is very mild , therefore adding a filler such as Voluma or Juvederm can help the loss of volume to make more symmetrical.
What is the best way to get rid of festoons? My doctor made them worse after a blepharoplasty. (p
Dear Patient
Jan 31, 2019
I'm sorry your having such a challenging post operative experience.  It is not uncommon to experience post inflammatory changes under the eye area at 4 months post.  Swelling  can occur up to 6 months post surgery.  It is best to wait until 6-12 months post surgery before operating on the same area.
Nose tip elevation question here?
splint can alter shape
Nov 22, 2013
I wouldn't worry at all. If the nose is taped and splinted correctly, it always pulls the tip up too high. You can simulate it on someone else's nose. Also, the tip always drops quite a bit over the first few months. You will probably see the change when the splint comes off and over the next few weeks.
Post full brow face and neck lift?
Facelift results depend on surgeon and your skin
Nov 22, 2013
Even when you have a great surgeon and appropriate surgery, it is common to see some laxity in the next 6-12 months after surgery as the skin relaxes. The neck has a large range of motion, and as you turn your head the skin stretches. If there is not a lot of elasticity in the skin (age, genetics, sun) the skin will relax more and appear a little loose.Without seeing your before pictures it would not be fair to comment on your result. Overall the neck like looks clean, and if you had a large...
I Have a Wide Neck. Please Advise?
Structure of neck muscles difficult to change
Oct 17, 2013
Based on your picture, I don't think there are any surgical options. I don't think you have a wide neck. The muscles slope a little more quickly from the side, which might be giving it that look. Also, the longer a neck is, the more narrow it will appear. You don't appear to have a really short neck, but it is probably related to the length more than the width. You look thin and attractive. It is likely that nobody but you really notices this as a negative feature. I would focus on your...
Botox for Underarms: Substitute for Deodorant?
Botox vs. Surgery for underams
Oct 17, 2013
Botox or Dysport works for underarm sweating, but it is very expensive because it takes about an entire bottle per treatment, probably about $1000 every 6 months. There is a surgical option that uses liposuction under the arms to remove the sweat glands. It can be done with local anesthesia and is very effective and would run about $3-4000, so in the long run I think this is a much better solution.
Today is my 5-6th Day After Rhinoplasty. Many People Said After Plastic Surgery Cannot Eat Seafoo
diet after surgery
Oct 17, 2013
That's a myth. You can eat whatever you feel like after surgery, although it is good to start with a mild diet to make sure you don't get nauseated from pain pills, etc.
Are the Problems with my Columella Going to Subside? Or Are Any of These Revisional Issues (photo
open rhinoplasty can leave visible scar
Oct 15, 2013
One of the main problems I see with open rhinoplasty is the visible columellar scar. Although your scar will improve with time, it will need revising. Usually it is prudent to wait a few months before doing so, but in your case the step off is significant enough that I would consider doing it earlier. This can be avoided if the incision is carefully closed. I prefer closed rhinoplasty because it avoids this scar. Most people don't do closed rhinoplasty because they just don't see it in...
Do I Have Retracted Columella or Hanging Alar (Aside from the Bulbous Nasal Tip)? What Are the Be
Hanging ala easy to fix if done correctly
Oct 14, 2013
The photos are dark but it looks more like you have hanging ala than retracted columella. This is common in the Asian nose. Not that many doctors do it, but it is quite simple to fix the hanging ala with a direct removal of tissue in the rim of the nostril. This can be done with local anesthesia, and sutures are removed about 3-4 days. Scars are essentially invisible most of the time. This helps the balance between the ala and columella on the lateral view.
Is It Better to Have Liposuction and then a Lift Instead of the Breast Reduction Surgery?
Lipo can change a reduction into a lift
Oct 8, 2013
A lift removes skin and raises the breast tissue on the chest wall, creating a younger shape. A reduction removes breast volume, and is usually combined with a lift. Volume can be removed directly (traditional) or with liposuction (newer technique). The ability to reduce the breast with lipo depends on the fatty content of the breast compared to denser breast tissue, which is resistant to lipo. Sometimes lipo will get the job done alone, other times lipo must be combined with direct removal...
Is It Early for Macs Lift?
Don't do facial surgery too early
Oct 8, 2013
Based on the photo, I think it is way to early to consider surgery. The change would be minimal and you would have to deal with scars, even though they usually do well. I would wait at least 5-10 years and reevaluated. Moderate use of fillers in the mean time can help, if necessary.
Could my Surgeon Have Accidentally Switched my Breast Implants?
assymetry after breast surgery
Oct 2, 2013
Overall I think you look fine for one week out. The left is a little bigger, but to me it looks like there was more skin on the left and more volume, so a 50 cc difference in the implant size might not be enough to correct that asymmetry. Any nipple irregularity should even out on its own. You might need a small revision but I am guessing that in 3 months things should look much better.
I Had MACS FACELIFT but my Left Earlobe Look Depressing?
Pixie ear deformity
Oct 2, 2013
The most unusual thing about your problem is that you just have it on one side, because usually the earlobe shape is dependent on the surgeon, not on the healing. It is caused by not creating a curved earlobe, which can hide the incisions more easily. It is easy to fix, but unfortunately will leave a small scar on the face below the shortened earlobe. This usually heals well, and can be removed in the future if you have another facelift type of procedure.
