With any type of surgery, if a patient undergoes surgery with general anesthesia it is highly recommended to have someone be present next to you and assist you at least for 24 hours post surgery as you may still be groggy after anesthesia. Furthermore, if you are getting a standard tummy tuck and muscle tightening, then you will not be able to stand straight and will be walking flexed. Therefore, it is always recommended to have someone assist you at least during the first week.
