Is dermabrasion a good idea for my hopeless arms?
Dermabrasion on arms
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. Dermabrasion is an option for you, because your skin is light you would be a good candidate for this treatment. If you are concerned you can always do a test spot before hand to see how your skin responds. you need to make sure you do to someone who knows what they are doing so you do not have additional unnecessary scarring. Best Wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD
If I no longer see improvement with chemical peels, should I try laser therapy instead for acne scar
Acne Scars
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. Acne Scaring is difficult to treat with peels if it is deeper. You might want to try resurfacing lasers or even dermabrasion (not microdermabrasion). Speak with your skin care provider for assessment to see if you would be a good candidate for either of these treatments. Best Wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD
I have dark spots at my back. I tried chemical peel but still there was no effect. What should I do?
Pigmentation Correction
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. Without having photos it is difficult to assess the area, I would recommend speaking to a skin specialist about options for treatment such as laser or peels. Be careful doing at home treatments as this can aggravate pigmentation if not done appropriately. Best Wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD
Can I be unconscious during hair removal? It hurts and I don't want to feel it.
Pain associated with laser hair
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. Laser hair removal is not pain free but it is very well tolerated and does not require anesthesia. You can ask your provider to use a topical numbing cream or you can consult with different providers to see if a different machine is more tolerable for you. Best Wishes,Pablo Prichard, MD
Can I get a perfect result for my belly hair?
Laser hair for fine hair
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. You are a very good candidate for this type of laser treatment due to your light skin and dark hair you will have a very good result, no one can guarantee 100% perfection but should be able to get you pretty close. The fine hairs on your abdomen are dark as well so with the appropriate settings you should be happy with the results. Best Wishes,Pablo Prichard, MD
Is it ok to shave in between sessions if needed?
Shaving between Laser Treatments
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. It is fine to shave between laser hair treatments, this will not effect the results of your laser. Shaving cuts the hair off in the middle of the follicle which is the thickest point of your hair; because of this you may feel like your hair is going back faster or thicker. Continue your laser treatments as recommended by your provider for the best results.Best Wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD
Face/Neck/Stomach burnt after Laser Hair Treatment
Burns After laser
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. Yes these topical creams will help the burned areas. Be sure to keep out of the sun, once the scabbing has stopped be sure to wear and reapply SPF to the areas. You will need to be very careful in the sun for 6month-1 year. Because your skin appears to be a lower Fitzpatrick you will most likely heal up fine as as long as you are following post care given to you by your doctor or dermatologist. Best Wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD
Laser hair removal, shaving hair. Does it have an effect on laser? To slow down results or it increa
Shaving between laser treatments
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. Shaving between laser hair treatments will not effect your results, you are welcome to shave as long as you don't have any skin irritation present. If there is any irritation, make sure you wait until this has cleared before shaving. Best Wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD
Will these white spots from laser hair removal burning be permanent? Will they repigment?
Hypopigmentation after laser Hair removal
Feb 28, 2017
Thank you for your question. With discoloration like this due to burns from laser treatments, it is possible that the skin can take up to 1 year before the pigment comes back, sometimes depending on how severe that damage is the pigment may not come back but that is less common. One very big mistake is tanning the area to try and even out the color as this can cause the damage to be permanent. You need to avoid the sun all together for at least 1 year, making sure to wear SPF and reapply. I...

Thank you for your question. It is always best to follow the post care given to you by your provider. Shaving will not effect the long term result of laser but can cause unnecessary irritation on the skin. Best Wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD

You possibly have a mild burn in the area. You can speak with your provider about your concerns and get their recommended post care. Keeping the area hydrated with aquaphor and staying out of the sun can help reduce the risk of long term effects. Best wishes, Pablo Prichard, MD

Filler for cheek volume
Jul 6, 2016
Thank you for your question. Initial result from injections can go down as you will always have swelling in the area. Depending on the amount of volume you want, you may want to consider fat grafting as it will last and create a nice natural volume in your face. You will most likely need up to 1-2 syringes of filler per side to create a noticable volume in the area.
I need my eyelashes to be longer, stronger.. What else I can do to my eye lashes growth??
Latisse for lash growth

Thank you for your question. Latisse is a wonderful product to help with volume and length in lashes, it enhances your natural growth without the use of extensions. It is a prescription product so you will need to get it at a medical office. Best Wishes,Pablo Prichard, MD

Botox Drooping in jawline

Thank you for the question. The angles of the photos appear to be a little different so it is difficult the tell the effect from photos. However, Botox only lasts for 3-4 months, it is not a permanent product, meaning that the body will eventually metabolize the injection and your mouth will return to normal, in some people this can take longer then others. Best Wishes,Pablo Prichard, MD
