3 years out from surgery, there should be no residual pain following BBL. It’s cause is unknown. I would NOT recommend a second liposuction at this time.
I recommend an evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon to determine its cause and propose appropriate treatment.

Intentional weight gain before performance of BBL is usually not sustainable. As your weight drifts back to preoperative levels, the result my be compromised. It is bast to be at a healthy comfortable body weight at the time of your surgery. 
The operative result is limited only by the contour of your underlying musculoskeletal framework. Models are chosen for their slim tall appearance and narrow waists and large buttocks, perhaps augmented with photoshop.
