Yes, Rhinoplasty can be safely performed under twilight anesthesia

I perform 95% of my rhinoplasties under local + sedation (twilight anesthesia), even if the surgery is a revision (2nd rhinoplasties usually last longer, 4h or more), and even if I need grafts from the septum or from an ear (again in revision cases). I use long lasting anesthetics, and have some techniques to avoid bleeding. I only offer general anesthesia to patients with sleeping apnea (remaining 5% of cases).
