There may be surgical or non surgical techniques that can help with the scarring and distortion of the nasal anatomy. I recommend that you see a board certified facial plastic surgeon for a complete evaluation of your nasal anatomy. The cartilaginous support of your nose may have been affected by the surgery. Cartilage grafts could potentially help you, but it is difficult to say for certain without photos or a thorough examination. Good luck!

There are many different ways to treat the small blood vessels associated with rosacea.  Using a pulse duration of 10ms with a lower energy setting will shrink the blood vessels WITHOUT inducing purpura or a bruise.  Both settings that you mentioned above will work, but the one that your laser technician suggested may have a lower risk of bruising you, getting rid of any downtime or recovery associated with the procedure.

Thank you for your question– you’ve obviously done your research!  Patient’s with rosacea do tend to have a slightly longer recovery time compared to patients who do not have rosacea.  The issue with the recovery is that you will remain pink longer than other patients.  Most patients do not go out to major social events during the first week after the procedure.  This is mostly due to redness and the need for Aquaphor applications.  Fortunately, you should be able to use mineral based make-…
