Answer Snippet
Are 3 syringes of Voluma (1.5ea) my best option for nasolabial/marionette lines if I want to kee
Voluma for cheeks
Feb 21, 2019
Voluma is ideal for cheeks/chin. For NLF/ML, we recommend Juvederm or Vollure. These are HA fillers with different properties. I would consult with a facial plastic surgeon in your area and discuss your options. Just because it lasts longest does not mean it is the best product for certain part of your face.
Does one syringe per cheek of Voluma generally produce noticeable results?
Voluma to cheeks
Feb 20, 2019
It really depends on the patient. Some patients can see a nice change even with a syringe on each cheek while others may require 2-3 syringes per cheek. I would speak with your provider and decide the right amount for your face.
Follow-up question: Should I get a revision rhinoplasty?
Revision surgery
Jan 10, 2019
I think a revision rhinoplasty will definitely improve your tip. You have tip asymmetry and too much of columellar hang. One of the draw backs of a closed approach is inability to do a good tip work. I suggest that you seek out an experienced facial plastic surgeon and revise it-an open approach.
Is this Tyndall effect of Voluma in my nose?
filler on the bridge of nose
Dec 24, 2018
I would consider having it dissolved with hyaluronidase prior to your rhinoplasty. You may need more than one injection of hyaluronidase. I would consult with a reputable facial plastic surgeon in your area.
Is it dangerous to just leave lumps after you have had filler?
Bumps after fillers
Dec 24, 2018
HA fillers are very safe and have a good track record. It should eventually all disappear. I would massage the area. Sometimes a small amount of hyaluronidase can be used as well.
My nose got wider after rhinoplasty, is this just swelling?
swelling after surgery
Dec 24, 2018
Probably swelling from your recent procedure. You will have some 'good days' and 'bad days'. I would continue to follow your surgeon's advise for now. Any revision surgery should wait until healing is comewhat complete.
Could I use fillers to enhance the appear of my nose?
Bulbose nasal tip
Dec 21, 2018
Based on your photos, a non surgical rhinoplasty probably will not be of much help. You would see a dramatic change with tip-rhinoplasty where your lower cartilages are made smaller and the gap between it is brought together closer. You will need about 1 week recovery time.
Can surgery fix my deep wrinkles after having face/neck lift?
Deep animating lines
Dec 21, 2018
Facelift will not necessarily remove lines on your face especially lines that are visible with animation. Those are best treated with botox but not always. Fine lines and some deep resting facial lines are best addressed with laser or deep chemical peel.
Does a mid-face (cheek) lift also take care of lower eyebags?
Midface lift
Dec 21, 2018
Midface lift or cheek lift and lower blepharoplasty can be done at the same time. We approach the midface through temple incision (endoscopic) and also perform lower blepharoplasty (transconj approach) at the same time. The whole procedure should take 2.5 hours. Expect 7-10 day recovery time.
Could something like a liquid facelift or tightening help my jowls and fine lines noticeable at
liquid facelift
Dec 20, 2018
Based on your photos, you probably would benefit by having some volume replaced in your cheek region and possibly address some of the fine lines. The sagging skin may be treated with a non-surgical procedure like ulthera. Your issue will be sagging skin in the next few years and may require a limited lower face lift. I would also consider a chemical peel or gentle laser to improve your skin/texture. I would consult with a facial plastic surgeon in your area.
Can the Voluma move?
Voluma
Dec 20, 2018
Voluma or HA fillers should not move. Initially there is a slight swelling associated with injection. We usually prefer to use Voluma in the cheeks or chin but not under eyes or tear trough. I would follow-up with your provider and see if anything can be done including dissolving some of it under the eyes.
Can you use cheek filler for a few years and then stop without long-term damage to facial tissue
Long term consequences of HA fillers
Dec 19, 2018
Your body should absorb appropriately injected HA fillers over time. It should not stretch your skin, but need to remember that you will continue to age (including your skin!).
Do I need Juvederm Voluma or another filler under my eyes instead?
Restylane under eyes & Voluma for cheeks
Dec 19, 2018
Based on your photos, it would probably be best to try Restylane under your eyes and Voluma for your cheeks. Different HA fillers have varying characteristics and you want to use the most optimal one for certain part of the face.
Is the tip of my nose broken and what should I do?
nasal fracture
Sep 18, 2018
I suggest you consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon with ENT background. He/she will be better able to assess what happened. It is possible that you may have septal fracture (cartilage). This may not even show up on x-ray.
Platysmal band treatment with Botox. More is best or can certain bands be treated?
Botox and neck bands
