Answer Snippet
60 years old- Can or should a lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning be performed o
Blepharoplasty
Apr 29, 2022
Lower eyelid blepharoplasty can be performed in patients with a prominent eye but little to no fat should be removed. Fat transposition, done correctly is an option. If the eyes are significantly prominent (ask the doctor if you have a negative vector which means the bony rim is set back compared to the eye position), then midface fat transfer can help. In severe negative vector cases, an infraorbital rim implant can be considered. Hope this helps
8 months post- op- Bump after rhinoplasty, what could it be?
Nasal bump
Apr 29, 2022
Generally there is an anatomical bump at the junction of the nasal bridge bone and cartilage. It may be that the initial swelling was hiding the bony/cartilaginous bump. If the bump persists, it might require further reduction of the bone/cartilage to lower the bump. Hope this helps
61 years old with light skin, which would be the best CO2 laser to address crepey skin w
Tetra
Apr 29, 2022
I would recommend a moderately deep fractionated CO2 laser. The laser “brand”Is less important than the fluence or energy that is used. With light skin, you can have a more aggressive treatment with less risk of pigmentation problems. I personally like the Tetra CO2 laser which is considered the gold standard device in the market. Good luck
Not satisfied with botox results on my forehead indentation. What filler should I use to
Forehead filler
Apr 29, 2022
I would recommend a low viscosity filler with low cohesivity such as Restylane Refyne or Defyne. Voluma is way too cohesive and will likely give you a bulge in that area. Belotero isn’t substantive enough and will not correct the area well. With whatever material is used, make sure to “under correct” the area to avoid a convex bulge in that central forehead which is very unnatural. Also should be injected with caution to avoid vascular structures. Good luck!
Rhinoplasty or Chin/Jaw augmentation? Or something else?
Rhinoplasty vs chin augmentation
Feb 11, 2022
Hello. Looking at your profile, it appears your dorsum (bridge) and tip are somewhat over projected (standing too far forward). It’s a bit risky to try to bring your chin contour forward to be in balance with your tip position as you’d likely have both a nasal tip and a chin that now protrude unnaturally. My feeling is a proper reduction in dorsal prominence and tip prominence would create better facial harmony and a better nose/chin relationship. As an exercise, you can place a pencil bet...
If I get striped during IPL, will I have to pay more to have the procedure done again to
IPL “striping”
Jan 29, 2022
If there is striping from inadequate overlap, that should be corrected at no charge. Most often. If you are scheduled for multiple IPL treatments, one of your follow up treatments can address the striping. If you are done with your treatments and a striped pattern persists, the practice should offer to correct this at no charge (in my opinion)
Hope this helps.
How to make my nose more defined/feminine?
Contour improvement
Jan 29, 2022
Hello. Lowering your dorsum (bridge) of your nose, de projecting your tip (dropping it closer to your face) and cephalon rotation (rotating the tip up so it doesn’t droop) would give you the best result. Depending on how much the bridge is lowered, it is likely you would need to have the nasal bones brought in (osteotomies) which would help make the upper and middle third of the nose somewhat narrower and more feminine in appearance. Good luck!!
