You should always consult your own hair transplant physician, but in our practice we would say it is both. PRP treats continued hair loss and it can help to prevent future hair loss. PRP is the only proven medical therapy that can restore a percentage of formally dormant hair follicles to help regrow hair. After the jump start of regrowth you would need to maintain those results with continued medical therapy such as Minoxidil, laser therapy or more PRP treatments.

You should always consult your transplant staff and surgeon with any questions or concerns. In our practice, we would advise our patient that by day 8 the grafts are secured in the location on the scalp. Since there was not any bleeding I would suspect everything is fine. Best of luck to you!
