If it was just your neck than there are a few options, including Z-plasty cervical tightening. This is a good operation for men, giving an excellent next contour, but it does nothing for jowls.

If it is both of these elements, you want to correct than a lower face and neck lift would be the treatment of choice. You have thick skin which will mean that it's a well hidden surgery and recovery tends to be 2 to 3 weeks before you can look relatively normal.

So the platysma is a hammock like muscle supporting the neck. As you get older it gets thinner. Tightening an already thinning muscle can lead to stripes like this which we call platysma bands.

Botox is an option, but even if you look at most celebrity facelifts, you will see some banding.

My best advice is to try and accept them for what they are. They can be treated, but it's quite a lot of work for a small amount of change.

So AZ incision survived a blast. It is a great treatment for men with this problem.

Men to tolerate the scar a little bit better than ladies, and can cover it with stubble as it heals. I have a video on this type of technique called survived a plaster and neck lift on my YouTube channel Adam goodwin surgery if you'd like to learn more about it.

Of course your other option would be a lower face and neck lift which will do very much the same thing but is a little more urgent.

So these are more common with deep plane techniques, but we see them in all types of facelift.

The pleat forms where the surgical dissection stops and the normal tissue starts.

I've seen this a couple of times and the best way I've seen to correct, it is by making a small tunnel, incision from the hairline down and release the tissue above the pleat. It's not guaranteed to work first time but I've had success with this technique.

So you seem young to have eyebags, but I agree there is an element of that in you.

Many patients in their 30s and 40s need a mid facelift, but I think you can do without this additional surgery. Your options are therefore pinch blepharoplasty with fat resection, or lower eyelid surgery through a conjunctival incision.

Both are effective. My personal preference would be the first one as the skin can be made a little tighter at the same time.

So mid 40s is in the zone for definitive lower face and neck surgery.

You have all the signs of facial aging in this area. Early nasolabial lines, marionette, lines, jowls, and downturned mouth corners. Your neck has also lost a little bit of shape.

Even though this sounds like an extreme solution, many patients spend a lot of time and money on nonsurgical treatment, only to find that the SURGERY was the only thing that made a genuine difference.
