Thank you for your question and you will need to speak with you insurance company and plastic surgeon to see if they are willing to cover you with all the other criteria being met. I think it would help to include all the information to the insurance company but in a breast reduction not all of the breast tissue is removed and you will still have some risk of developing breast cancer.

Thank you for your question and it looks like from your photo that you may some breast tissue but it is minimal.  If you desire surgery, the result will be minimal but if this is what you want then surgery could be done.  I would visit with a board certified plastic surgeon who can examine you and tell you what you can achieve and what realistic expectations you should expect.

Thank you for your question and this is a question that can not be answered in this forum.  You need to be seen by a plastic surgeon who can determine if you have enough fat verses breast tissue that can be removed with liposuction.  One has to determine if your shape and skin will allow a good result if you just remove the volume and this takes a one on one exam.

Thank you for your question and there is no secret to getting this approved.  Since you have Kaiser, you will need to see their plastic surgeons and have them determine if they will cover your surgery otherwise you will have to pay for this yourself.  I have found Kaiser not unreasonable in approving this surgery for their patients if you fit their criteria.

Thank you for your question and you will be much happier in you life with this procedure.  Under normal circumstances, I let patients start increasing their activities at 2 weeks but it could be 4-6 weeks before you are able to do everything.  You should be out of work for 1-2 weeks but I would follow your surgeons advise.

Thank you for you question and sorry you are not happy with the results.  It is too early to tell if you will need further surgery.  It takes 6-12 months for the healing to be complete and I would recommend you be patient and follow up with your surgeon at this point.  It is rare that a perfect symmetry is achieved and most of the  time there is some asymmetry.

Thank you for your question and I am sorry to hear of your difficult recovery.  It is not uncommon the have sensory changes after this procedure and it can range from total numbness, pain to totally normal sensation.  It usually takes up to a year to determine what your final sensation will ultimately be but there is very little that can be done speed up or improve the process.  I would tell you to be patient and see how things heal.

Thank you for your question but it is difficult to tell from your description if you have a hematoma and you have not healed completely yet.  If you have significant swelling and bruising on the one side you may have a hematoma and I would consult with your  surgeon soon.  I would recommend you follow his or her instructions at this point.
