Upper lid blepharoplasty
Aug 4, 2017
You might benefit from some filler injections under your eyes to smoothen the transition from the lid to the cheek. An upper blepharoplasty will give you a more of a superior lid show which women like because their make up can show more.
I’m worried about the unnatural looking crease line, will this be my final results?
Eyelid crease after surgery

It is still too early to comment on how your eyelids will look once they heal. Looking at the picture it seems like your surgeon did a fine job but we cannot comment for sure till you are at least 3 months post surgery.

Scleral Show
May 4, 2017
Hi Hammerjack, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I don’t quite understand what you’d like to achieve. Having your eyes wide open, to the point of your sclera showing above the iris, can lead to severe dry eye with irritation and blurred vision. Maybe if you sent a picture of your problem and what you’re trying to achieve, we could give you better advice. Thanks and looking forward to giving you some more useful advice,
How is surgery for the lower eyelid retraction done?
Lower Eyelid Retraction
Mar 2, 2017
Hi samoah, Thanks for your question. There are many causes of lower lid retraction. Knowing the cause and severity of your lower lid retraction will affect our answer to your question. Have you had a previous lower lid blepharoplasty, as this is a common cause of lower lid retraction seen on this forum? Do you have a photo in good lighting that illustrates the area of concern? I’d be happy to comment more on what the surgical repair entails if you provide us with some additional helpful info…

Suture Management
Mar 2, 2017
Hi poilkj123,Thanks for your question and photo. The type of suture used depends on the surgeon preferences and the location of the incision. Usually, non- or partially absorbable sutures are removed between 1-2 weeks post-op. Absorbable sutures on the eyelid usually dissolve by 2 weeks. Occasionally, fragments of absorbable suture can stick around and need to be removed. It is hard to tell from your photo what type of sutures were used or if any actually remain. I would discuss this with y…

Post-op Dryness
Mar 2, 2017
Hi kanuri,Thanks for your question. A photo would definitely help us to make better recommendations. Dry eye is a common problem after ptosis surgery. Typical symptoms include foreign body sensation, blurred vision and  light sensitivity. Patients who work in front of a computer are especially susceptible because you tend to stare at the computer and blink less frequently. I would recommend you seek out a consultation with an ophthalmologist in your area to determine if you have evidence o…
One of my eyes is smaller then the other, how much would it cost to fix this?
Ptosis
Mar 2, 2017
Hi Deviiii___,Thanks for your question and photo. In looking at the picture you provided, I can appreciate ptosis (droopiness) of both upper lids. This can be surgically corrected as a cosmetic procedure but depending on the severity, may be covered as functional procedure by your insurance company. I would recommend an in-person evaluation with a skilled oculoplastic surgeon in your area. They will be able to evaluate you and give you some cost estimates. Good luck!
