Is it easy to fix an asymmetrical front hairline?
Potenitally
Sep 12, 2017
The process of balancing a hairline, ie: placing grafts in a way that the hairline is more even is not difficult. The real challenge for this kind of procedure is 1. Getting the density on the transplanted side high enough to blend in with the side you are trying to match (often takes more grafts than you might think), and 2. making sure you are treating what ever caused the hair loss to begin with. Even in the absence of family history, it is possible that you can have...

Normal post op shedding
Apr 17, 2017
What you are describing is generally post op shedding. Any time you have a procedure to a body part that contains hair, this is a possibility. It is just more disconcerting when you come in for more hair and temporarily get less... The good news is this is temporary, the bad news is its annoying and will take 4-7 months to come back in. Transplanted grafts will also be falling out after 3 weeks or so, so you are on the correct pathway. Hang in there. Hair...
Head recipient area Scalp stretched by flexing forehead one day after FUE hair transplant
You should be ok
Apr 17, 2017
Generally, unless you got bleeding, there is no harm done. A stretching sensation can be caused by a number of factors. Grafts dislodged immediately after surgery almost always results in bleeding however. Its therefore unlikely that you caused any significant issues.
Back to work as a builder 84 hours post FUE?
Issues with healing
Apr 17, 2017
The 2 main issues that early are graft displacement, and infection risk. At 2-3 days you still have a healing wound essentially. Dusty and or dirty environments are not necessarily an ideal setting under that circumstance. Additionally, grafts can be dislodged from trauma, or from any head gear that compresses, or drys and attaches to grafts. Its doable, but you really need to be careful. I would suggest a lose fitting baseball cap that doesn't press on the...
Will my hair grow thicker? Will I need a touch up? I am 20 years old.
It depends.
Feb 7, 2017
From a graft growth standpoint it will get a little thicker. At your age, however, the probability that you will need a subsequent surgery is very high. Medication, laser therapy, Rogaine, and PRP my help prevent that, but I would plan on needing more as 2300 grafts is not a full head of hair. The three main reasons that patients do second surgeries are 1. They just want to add density. 2. They want to work on a new area. 3. They lose more hair with...
Scabbing turned white and flaking off, should I be concerned?
Thats normal
Feb 7, 2017
Generally the grafts are placed with a little skin still out of the incision site. This little bit of skin begins to wash off around 8 days after the surgery. If you want to get rid of them, the shampoo 6 times in a row and each time let the shampoo sit for a minute before you rinse your hair. Use the balls of your fingers to gently massage off that dead skin. Unless you get bleeding which you should not after 8 days, even if you lose the hair the follicle remains...
I recently turned 21. I usually don't face hairfall issues but recently I have been facing severe ha
Get the itching checked out
Jan 5, 2017
I agree with the prior physician that you need a total course of action plan. I would add though that it is normal for everyone to shed 100 ish hairs per day as a normal part of a follicles growth and resting cycle. In addition, if you have an unhealthy scalp as could be the case with itching or flaking, that too needs corrected. The good news is that if you are proactive, at your age you should be able to get control of the situation.
