Most experienced transplant surgeons offer both surgeries. There are specific indications of why one may be superior to the other. It is true that FUE thins out the donor area, but this can also be the case with repeated strip harvesting procedures. This is a very unfortunate and large area of skin necrosis. I have not personally had this happen in my practice over the past 25 years, but have seen patients that have had this complication from other doctors. It takes several weeks if not months to see the final results from blepharoplasty. 3 weeks is way too early to judge. Your scars will be swollen and edema will remain in the upper flap for sometime. Try to be patient and allow the healing process to complete.

It is best to repair a broken nose in the first 2-3 weeks. After a couple of months it doesn't really matter how long you wait. The nose has already healed and will have to be re-broken either way. So waiting longer at this time will be no big deal. If we can get to them at the 2 week period it is perfect. Often times the nose will"snap" back into position without bleeding or excessive bruising or swelling. That's the best time for future reference.

My personal opinion is that this is a good case for a filler. It will not be that easy of a procedure to harvest ear cartilage and place in the defect without another trip to the OR. That is to say you will need IV anesthesia and for all practical purposes an office based surgery room. Based on photos alone I cannot tell if you have nasal valve collapse. It would require an examination. When you inspire and the side wall of the nostril collapses you may in fact have nasal valve collapse. It can easily be determined on a quick physical exam. There is a quick surgical remedy. An implant (Latera) can be placed through a small needle incision in an office setting, and support the collapse thereby correcting the problem. Thanks for your question.

Just by looking at your photo I would estimate a total fee of $5000 all inclusive. I perform the procedure in my own office surgery center under IV sedation. The fee could be more if the doctor has to take you to a hospital or free standing surgery center. Also if the doctor has to pay an anesthesiologist separately the price could be higher. I would chose a doctor based on experience and results. Be careful deciding based on price alone.

I see what you are talking about. It looks like a graft has been placed to build up the dorsum of your nose. I do see the asymmetry. It is too early to tell. Things well continue to change over the next couple of months. Hopefully, your symmetry will improve. You should discuss this with your surgeon.
Will medicade, amerigroup cover rhinoplasty?

Amerigroup only covers septoplasty surgery. Any alteration to the outside of the nose is not covered by Medicaid. If you need the inside corrected sometimes your surgeon can correct that part and have it covered by Medicaid (Amerigroup). If you want external work done then you would have to pay out of pocket as that is considered cosmetic.

The incision is a little bit in front of the natural crease. It probably will become less noticeable or even negligible over time. 8 weeks is very early to judge. If you wait a few months you may have enough laxity to have the incision placed in the proper location in the natural crease. You will have the wait some time because it will be too tight early on. The only area we sometimes recommend liposuction is in the submental or under the chin and neck region. We actually transfer fat to the cheeks and lower face often times during a facelift procedure. Rejvenation requires volume replacement as well as resuspension of lax tissues. Thanks for your question.

If you do not have bands in your neck at rest (that is not flexing your neck muscles), then a second platysmaplasty surgery may not be required. Often times a facelift alone will tighten the skin of the neck without requiring a platysmaplasty. Only a consultation can determine what would be required.
