Any time you cut the skin, you get a scar. That is a fact of life. As plastic surgeons, we try to make the scar as imperceptible as possible, but there is nothing that will make a scar vanish completely, or prevent a scar from occuring. I agree that a facelift is probably necessary to give you an improvement that you will be happy with. It is always  necessary to examine the patient though to be sure. Facelifts come in a variety of  options and perhaps a less aggressive version, done with sedation as opposed to general anesthesia might give you enough improvement to make you very happy. Look at all of your options with a number of board certified surgeons until you feel comfortable with the plan. Best of luck

Absolutely. I would consider non-invasive treatments first: ultherapy or radiofrequency skin tightening. At your age, your elasticity should be such that a facelift would not be necessary to aceive the improvement you desire. congratulations on your weight loss. all the best

In my opinion, it is a little early to be considering radio frequency. I think it can provide additional skin tightening, but dont believe it will improve the hard areas you are noticing. I think those will get better with massage and time. Go cautiously at this early stage.

Given your age and appearance, all of the things you are looking at seem reasonable. Make sure you visit a coupe of board certified surgeons who can show you pictures of their results. While this may be available in europe, it is not legal in the US to advertise a stem cell facelift. In most cases, this is really a standard facelift with fat grafting. There are stem cells in fat, but  the stem cells are not isolated out specifically and reinjected. I would do your research very carefully to make sure you are getting what you think you are getting. Find out specifically how the procedure is done and if stem cells are really injected. best of luck

I would advise against implants . I think the risks outweigh the benefits and we get good long term results with fat grafting. It is safer, looks more natural, and will last when done properly. In addition, you are pretty young to have such unhappiness with your face. Don't be so hard on yourself, you look greatall the best

Swelling is normal after surgery. It is the body's response to heal the injury caused by surgery. For most patients, the peak of swelling is at 48 hours, but this varies from patient to patient. I suspect that what you are experiencing is completely normal and will gradually resolve. It is hard to go through surgery because you want to look better, but initially look worse. Don't worry, it will ultimately be worth it.All the best

I would try fat grafting before using an implant. I find that fat grafting to the cheekbone area has a very good survival rate, looks natural, and doesn't have the complications of implants. You need to see a surgeon who does fat grafting as a large part of his practice.Best of luck
Can a facelift be done by a bicoronal incision? What are the risks? Hair loss? Scarring?

In my opinion, the bicoronal incision is far too aggressive to be used on the average facelift patient. The drawbacks of hair loss, pain and itching and numbness  make this suitable only for craniofacial and reconstructive surgery. In almost every instance, cosmetic goals can be achieved without the risks listed above through much smaller incisions, and less invasive approaches.I would talk to multiple surgeons before you go down the bicoronal road
What type of facelift properly addresses the marionette lines and jowls?

In my experience, the facelift type is less important than the surgeon's skill in addressing these concerns. I find that liposuction of the jowls and fat grafting to the marionette lines is more important than the facelift type in smoothing the jawline . Ask to see before/after pictures from a board certified surgeon to give your self the best chance of achieving your facial goals.all the best

I'm sorry you have had this complication. It is very rare, but the good news is that in most instances, this will improve markedly with time. Often it returns to completely normal. The reason for that is there is cross innervation with other branches of the facial nerve and these will usually pick up the duties of the injured branch. Best of luck as you await the improvement.

The downturn at the corners of your smile can usually be improved with filler and botox to relax the depressor muscles below. In my experience, there is not a good surgical solution to fix that problem because of the scars. Best of luck and dont be so hard on yourself!
