What is my best option for reducing my masseter muscles?
Jaw Symmetry
Feb 7, 2017
Everyone has some degree of facial asymmetry. That being said, there are options to help make the asymmetry less noticeable. You mentioned Botox, which is a good option to reduce the appearance of the masseter muscle along the jawline. Fillers can be used to improve symmetry. Radiesse is a great option to correct jaw asymmetry. If you like the way the filler looks, you can then opt for a more permanent solution, such as implants.
Numbing after a mini facelift: I am concerned I’m going to be permanently numb.
Numbness After Facelift
May 20, 2016
Usually numbness after a facelift procedure is temporary but can take months to resolve. It would be best to discuss this with your surgeon to know whether any nerves were seen during the dissection.
Would septoplasty straighten my nose?
Nasal Straightening
May 3, 2016
Thank you for your question. Septoplasty surgery is aimed primarily at improving the nasal airway and rarely will have any impact on the external appearance of the nose. No one is perfectly symmetrical. One side of the face
is usually smaller than the other developmentally which can lead to
nasal twisting. It is hard to tell from your photos exactly what would need to be done. I recommend having an evaluation with a facial plastic surgeon with a background in ear, nose and throat disorders…
Is it normal to have hard painful lumps afte Restylane injection?
Lumps After Lip Injection
Apr 29, 2016
Thank you for your question. It is normal to have some swelling after lip injections with HA, especially in the first few days. Lumps are not uncommon, and usually are not an issue as long as they are not visible. The pain may be due to bruising though it is hard to know without an examination. I recommend you go back to your injector for an evaluation to ensure this is a normal post injections reaction and nothing more.
I’ve lines above my lip. Any suggestions?
Lip Lines
Apr 22, 2016
You have a few option for the lines above your lip. Skin resurfacing with a laser can help to smooth these lines. Whether to use an ablative non fractional or non ablative fractional laser would depend on the severity or depth of the lines. Thinner hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Belotero, Restylane, or Juvederm Ultra can also be used around the mouth to fill in the lines. I recommend that you see a qualified facial plastic surgeon in your area who can do a full evaluation and make…
What is the best treatment for sloping neck/double chin?
Neck Liposuction
Apr 20, 2016
Thank you for your question. From your pictures it does look like you would benefit from submental liposuction. Younger patients with a higher elastin content in the skin usually have a better result because the skin can is more likely tighten up around the structures in the neck to improve the definition of the jawline. I recommend that you have a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon who can go over your medical history,  do a complete evaluation of your neck with palpation of the …
Sutures in tip rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty Sutures
Apr 18, 2016
Thank you for your question. There are various techniques that can be used in tip rhinoplasty to achieve the desired result. Often times sutures are used. Specific techniques, and whether the sutures used are temporary (absorbed over time) or permanent, depends on the surgeons preference. This would be a question to discuss with your surgeon at the time of your consultation.
