Thank you for your question. There are criteria that most surgeons follow which will determine risk for DVT ( deep vein thrombosis ). Some surgeons use blood thinners on every case, some rarely, but most follow standard guidelines.

Based on your photos you are between needing a lift or not, maybe based on the size of the implant you choose and your desired shape. I would consult with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area. You should go to your desired size and can also always get a small peri areolar lift at a later time should you decide in the future.

   Thank you for your question. I would agree with the other reviewer. I believe that you are a candidate for a mini/modified TT. Your umbilicus appears to be high on your torso, so it will not pull all the way down to the pubic region where we like to place the scar.    Therefore in those cases you remove a smaller amount of skin, do not make an incision around the umbilicus but do tighten the muscles all the way up. Thank you for your question. Tear drop implants have a textured surface to adhere to the muscles. Massage could interfere with that and therefore massage is usually used for smooth implants. I would recommend you discuss this with your surgeon.

Thank you for your question. Yes, you can get a lift in advance, but you may sag to a degree after your weight loss depending on the amount you lose after the procedure. I would recommend you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.

Thank you for your question. Platysmal bands do recur even if repaired at the original surgery. If everything else looks good then the work could be performed via the submental small incision. If lateral skin tightening is still needed then the lateral incisions can be opened as needed. No additional or worsening of skin scarring should occur. I would recommend you either return to your surgeon for an evaluation or get a second opinion if you feel that is the way to proceed.

Thank you for your question. You are very early in the post operative course. Liposuction is not like excising skin in the front where the TT was performed. The skin will tighten down on the sides, but that takes time. I usually recommend 6 months to see your final result. The rest seems to be healing nicely. Be patient, stay in touch with your surgeon.

Thank you for your question. I would say you have 2 options to improve the present situation. It appears that a Benelli lift should just work by your photos. Usually maximum lift of areolar complex is about 3 cm, if not then a lollypop lift would work. The alternative if your implants are getting firm and this bothers you as well, would be to convert to a sub-muscular position, with a lift. That way you improve the feel and look of the implants and correct the ptosis. That may push you into ...

Thank you for your question. Once the implants are removed there is a pocket where the implants were. This pocket needs to close down and adhere, and scar tissue form to make it solid. If too much activity takes place that area will not get solid and adhere down, and will fill up with fluid which may need to be drained.

It is not uncommon to see the two sides appearing different at this point in your recovery. The muscles are different and tolerate implant augmentation differently. Usually by about 6-8 weeks a significant amount of the differences subside. It will usually take around 8 months till you see final results.

Thank you for your question. Your surgeon is the best one to answer that question as it requires an examination. Sometimes it is not the easiest to decide, and an aspiration can be performed safely if needed.

Thank you for your question. Based on the photos you submitted, I feel that upper eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) would be the correct option. Your eyebrows based on the photos seem to be in good position and therefore removing the skin and fat from your upper eyelid would give a great result. Quick procedure with minimal down time. I would recommend you see a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation.

Thank you for your question. Yes, your insurance company will pay for the umbilical hernia repair, and part of the Anesthesia and Operating Room costs associated with the TT. As for the partial Hysterectomy, that depends on what actually needs to be performed. I would suggest you seek out a consultation from a board certified plastic surgeon in your area, and have a consultation. The plastic surgeon can discuss what is needed with your Gynecologic surgeon and decide if combining is appropriate.
