At 53 wanting to look refreshed. Recommendations?
Recommendations for procedures
Dec 15, 2020
First of all, you should only address things that bother you. Having said that, from the pictures it looks like you might be a great candidate for a mini facelift along with an upper blepharoplasty and a mini brow lift through the upper eyelid incision. These can be done under local anesthesia with oral sedation in the office in many cases. You could consider skipping the mini brow lift but you would not get as much of an improvement in the area around your eyes. Hope this helps!
Is it advisable to have lower eyelid surgery and a brow lift for the upper eye under local anest
Should procedures be performed together or separately?
Dec 15, 2020
Depending on your level of comfort, I would recommend doing them together. That way you can have one recovery period as opposed to two separate, equally lengthy recovery periods. This is done very commonly and can even be combined with other procedures such as laser skin resurfacing and various types of face lifting for the neck and the jaw line. It is best to see someone with a lot of experience as the more procedures someone does, generally the more efficient they become as far as how long…
What is the best treatment for premature turkey neck?
Neck aging changes after weight loss
Dec 15, 2020
One good option if you want a more long lasting improvement is to have an isolated submentoplasty performed through an incision just below the chin. The visible platysma muscles can be trimmed slightly and then sutured from one side to the other along with a small horizontal cut in the muscle below where the suturing ends. This would provide a significant improvement and can be done in the office under local anesthesia with an oral sedative in most cases.
Do I need cheek lift, any lift as I’m worried I look old?
Do I need a cheek lift?
Dec 15, 2020
I certainly don’t think so. You have full, youthful cheeks and I do not see a lot of gravity-related change. Even when you do start seeing gravity related change, the cheeks don’t necessarily need to be lifted. It can be easier and more economical to have either fat or fillers injected to provide some volume without having to lift anything.
Swelling from facial plastic surgery. How long will it last?
FACIAL SWELLING
May 7, 2014
Swelling after facial surgery typically peaks on day two or three following the surgery, and then declines every day thereafter, although some increased swelling can be seen each morning if you are not sleeping with the head elevated. Each patient is different, but typically on the order of 80 percent of swelling is gone at two weeks.Ice can be helpful for the first 48 hours, but is not helpful thereafter. Moist heat is also unlikely to affect swelling. You should continue to see…
How is a Lifestyle Lift Different from a Traditional Face Lift?
What is a Lifestyle Lift?
Apr 4, 2014
The truth is that there are almost 100 Board Certified surgeons at Lifestyle Lift Centers around the country, and almost without exception they are the busiest facelift surgeons in their area. Roughly half of our doctors are Plastic Surgeons and half are Facial Plastic Surgeons.A Lifestyle Lift is simply a facelift done under oral sedation (relaxing pill like a sleeping pill) and local anesthesia. This allows patients to avoid General Anesthesia or Intravenous Sedation if they…
Is this normal after lifestyle lift?
Bruising
Apr 4, 2014
The bruising and swelling that you are experiencing is a normal part of the healing process and will resolve! I think that you saw your doctor last week and everything was fine except for a small fluid collection that was expressed out, so if there are changes since then that you are concerned about, please call your doctor to be seen soon so that you can be reassured. Swelling of the lining of the eye (conjunctiva) is common after eyelid surgery but can be concerning to patients….
