This gentleman had broken his nose 30 years earlier. He had undergone a closed or endonasal rhinoplasty at that time but unfortunately broke his nose again 1 month later playing sports. With time the cartilage of his nose had become nearly non existent leading to breathing issues on the right (collapsed internal nasal valve). The tip of his nose drooped forming an acute angle also affecting his breathing. The right nostril was pulled up from scar tissue and his nose formed a reverse C shape. Dr. Guy used rib cartilage to support his nose improving not only the symmetry but also the breathing allowing the patient improved exercise tolerance.
