Hello,
I think you have a nice result! However, occasional revisions of a lip lift are sometimes indicated. Better your surgeon was appropriately conservative than dealing with an over resection. I would go back and talk it over with them.

Hello,
The scalp is lifted in between 2 structures, the periosteum is the layer just over the bone and the galea. After the forehead advancement these 2 areas heal down to one another again. There is some numbness associated with this procedure but once this improves the scalp feels completely normal to patients.

For the first 2 nights it is recommended you sleep with your head elevated to minimize swelling. You may use a travel pillow to support your neck or a soft towel. This will help decrease the amount of post-operative swelling while healing. You may shower approximately 48 hours after a facelift but it should be kept brief. Using a gentle face wash once a day will keep your skin clean until you are able to resume your skin care regimen.

Hello,From your photos it does appear that the tip does not "fit" with the dorsum. The tip cartilages are wide and convex giving the tip more prominence than it should have. This can be improved with rhinoplasty. I think computer imaging is very helpful in consultation because it can reassure you about the new shape of your nose.

Your photographs show some irregularities in the cartilage resulting from your first procedure.  Overall I think your ears are in good position and have a nice shape.  I think the problems should be relatively easy to repair.  Hopefully you can find a surgeon in your area experienced in performong otoplasty.  I would asked specifically if they have seen this sort of problem before and how they treated it.  Good luck.

Hello,For the first few months after rhinoplasty any activity that causes swelling of the nose will be  more pronounced than before surgery. This can include sun exposure.  Depending on time of day an hour or two of sun exposure can be significant. It is unlikely that you caused any long-term problems with your nose. Clicking noise in columella when moving upper lip side to side?

As you know this problem can certainly happen when a columellar strut graft is placed but is a bit unusual without.  I suspect the clicking is related to the inferior aspect of the septum moving against the underlying bone.  Please get back to your surgeon and hopefully they can identify the culprit.  I think there might be a relatively easy fix for this issue if it does not improve on its own.  Good Luck!

Hello,I think you have pointed out the issues that I see in your photos. I do not think you will get a reasonable result without a revision rhinoplasty. Possibly you will require cartilage grafts from your ears to treat these problems. Good luck.

It looks as though this incision is relatively new.  Dermabrasion of the scar might be helpful.  I would expect the scar to improve with time.
Is it normal to have EXTREME discomfort in the ear 2 1/2 weeks after Rhinoplasty with ear cartilage???

There are a couple of possibilities. It sounds like the discomfort is coming from within the ear canal or eardrum. It is possible that blood from the surgical procedure might still be in the canal leading to the symptoms. There is a small possibility that you have an infection within the ear canal as well. You should get in to see your surgeon as soon as possible. I would not attempt any more home treatments.
Is there a BMI restriction on having upper eyelid surgery?

Upper eyelid surgery can easily be performed under local anesthesia only if BMI is a concern. Sedation or general anesthesia has increased risks if BMI is elevated. Please discuss this with your surgeon.

As a general rule if there is a postoperative issue involving the dorsum, either the cartilage or bony part, I believe this can be revised sooner than later. Revision of the nasal tip is best delayed until at least 6 months have gone by. Best of luck.

From your photo it does appear the dorsum may have been overly reduced. My preference for treatment is septal cartilage if available or, if not, ear cartilage. A fascial graft over this may be helpful but not always necessary. Physical exam, photos and computer imaging are helpful in pre-operative planning. Good luck.

Hello,The area behind your ears that is elevated should be easily corrected by a small excision of the excess skin. This could be performed in the office under local anesthesia. I would think if other adjustments needed to be made they could be accomplished at the same time. Good luck.
