Post-operative swelling from Rhinoplasty – does it get worse before it gets better?

Hi,
Your nose will undergo many changes after rhinoplasty. Sometimes, the swelling will be asymmetric depending on your skin thickness etc. The final result should be present around 1 year after the surgery. It is best to consult with your rhinoplasty surgeon as they can best assess your nose , as they have seen it pre-operatively.

Is it possible to change the shape of the nose by pushing on it with my hand?

Pushing the bone with your hand is not the solution to this. I suggest you follow up with a facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon to have your nose evaluated. They would be able to evaluate the outside of your nose, as well as the inside and recommend the correct treatment. Thank you!
Do u think getting rhinoplasty will give a huge change to my face ?

Hi, This is a very tough question. My suggestion is to meet with a board certified facial plastic or plastic surgeon to go over your goals. The dorsal hump can be brought down to give a more concave appearance rather than convex. Additionally, the tip can be reshaped as well! Hope that helps!
Is it possible to restore a displaced nasal bone?

This issue can be address by a few things. The most aggressive would be to have a rhinoplasty procedure- free up the nasal bones and reorient them. A camouflage cartilage graft can be placed in that region as well. Filler is noninvasive and can also be placed but there is a risk for intravascular injection. Meeting with a rhinoplasty surgeon to go over your goals would be the next step. Hope that helps!

It is very difficult to assess the nasal tip without a frontal view. However, based on your description, we Rhinoplasty surgeons do perform tip-plasty with rhinoplasty to correct bulbous nasal deformities. This is something that can be addressed in Rhinoplasty consultation. I suggest you look at the surgeon’s before and afters in the office to go over your goals. Hope that helps!

Hi,
You would be a great candidate for a septorhinoplasty procedure. I agree with you with your desires to take down the dorsal hump as well as lift the tip. Tip refinement can also be performed at the same procedure. While aesthetics is important -the nose should also be functional ! Therefore, a septoplasty to correct the breathing can easily be performed with the rhinoplasty. Hope that helps.

You would be an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty -you have a strong lower lateral cartilages which would be corrected with tip-plasty. It is difficult to examine the rest of your nose with those 3 photos but I suggest you schedule a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon with rhinoplasty experience.
