The aging process of the face is of a natural nature and occurs gradually. Over the years, the skin and deeper tissues sag, wrinkles and pigmentation appear on the face. The task of facelift is to re-create the contours of the face, tighten the skin and underlying tissues, eliminate skin folds and remove excess fatty tissue (mainly in the chin area). Full facelift in Indiana includes a tightening of the cheeks, forehead and neck (these procedures can be performed in a complex or separately). If necessary, blepharoplasty can also performed (eyelid correction).

Preparation for surgery

You will meet with an anesthesiologist for examination and consultation. You will also need to sign an informed consent form for anesthesia.

Progress of the operation

An anesthesiologist will install an intravenous catheter through which drugs for anesthesia will be injected. As a rule, the operation is performed under local anesthesia, but using strong soothing agents, so that you will not experience pain.

During the operation, incisions are made along the border of hair growth, behind the auricles on the scalp.

Sometimes additional incisions are made on the forehead and under the chin. After the operation, a soft bandage will be applied on the face and head.
