How Much Does A Facelift Cost In North Carolina?

The inevitable aging process is inextricably tied to our genetic code. The aging changes we see in the face can be difficult psychologically because it is very common for an individual to have an internal self image based on appearances in the mid 30’s to 40’s.

Since our appearance and our self esteem are tightly linked, his response leads to a desire to make changes in order to improve self esteem.

The response commonly sought by women, and more commonly by men is to seek the advice of a Facial Plastic surgeon or Plastic Surgeon.

Very commonly, the advice given is that a Facelift in NC would be appropriate in order to restore the neck and jawline, reposition the jowls, and the mid-face.

If performed in a natural fashion, a patient can improve their appearance and sense of self image without looking “Plastic”.

Extra Neck Skin And Jowls

All procedures and all Surgeons have risks of complications. I would strongly recommend a visit to a well qualified, locally reputable Facial Plastic Surgeon or Plastic Surgeon in order to develop a strategy and hear the benefits and complications of that strategy.

It is best to develop a rapport and sense of trust with a Surgeon than to base this decision purely on marketing, price, or a sales pitch. Regardless of who performs the procedure, the risk of complications is never eliminated.

The variables that do exist are a) the quality of the surgeon (consult opinions of real people before believing infomercials), and b) the quality of the care you will receive before, during, and after the surgery.

Our faces ages for a handful of different reasons. I will list them in order of significance.

# 1 our skin ages. Sun, wind and time age the skin. It loses elasticity and collagen. This allows it to lengthen and sag. Laser and fat transfer treats this.

Extra Neck Tissue Makes A Person Appear Old

# 2 we lose fat. Fat drops. The face is divided into fat compartments which are separated by bands of tissues called ligaments. This drop and decent leads to compartmentalization (demarcation of facial subunits). Eye bags are a good example of this. Fat transfer and or a facelift can treat this.

# 3 we lose bone minerals. The orbits become larger. The jaw less defined and the cheek bones less prominent. Augmentation with fillers or fat is the best for this.

# 4 we lose muscle mass. Chronic contraction of the facial muscles is what leads to wrinkles so those who are more expressive will have more wrinkles then those who are quite. Think about a Buddhist Monk for instance. They are not overly expressive. Their faces age quite well. There are many muscles in the face and this does contribute to facial aging. You will see though that it is # 4 on my list. There are many things, such as sun care, that you should also be doing to maximize your results.

Face Lifting With Doctor Edward E. Dickerson

Facelift addresses the jawline and neck

Facelifts in North Carolina are the option for patients with significant jowls and neck issues. Lasers and fillers are all great alternatives to improve the skin and restore facial volume. But for significant improvement in the jawline and excess redundant neck skin, facelift can give a noticeable but natural-looking result.

Very few alternatives to facelift exist to dramatically make a difference with loose neck skin & muscle. Prior to moving forward with a facelift, the cons of facelift should be considered. Facelift is a surgical procedure that will require incisions and recovery.

Overall, facial plastic surgeons are well trained to deliver an excellent result. Review the before and after pictures of the surgeon you select. Speaking to patients who have had the procedure is also a popular choice in my office practice.

Also have a frank conversation with your surgeon and discuss the ocnsent fully. When you feel comfortable with your choice of surgeon, you will be ready for your facelift.

Facelift In Charlotte Nc

Facelift is a procedure to reposition and shape facial skin and soft tissue

The decision to undergo a facelift is a major one. Rhytidectomy (facelift) can improve the facial appearance and enhance a sense of well being in some patients. The advantages of the procedure are that in the carefully selected patient, a natural enhancement of appearance can be achieved with longlasting results.

The disadvantages are mainly the risk of complications and the cost. In the carefully selected patient the risk of complications can be minimized, but not eliminated.

The best way to determine if this procedure is right for you is to research this topic, the internet is a great tool for this. Then meet with a surgeon and discuss your unique situation.
