Mini Facelift Prices
A Mini facelift is considered an attractive option because of its low cost. Though standard procedures are highly effective, sometimes patients don’t want to spend huge sums to resolve their relatively minor aesthetic problems.
The mini facelift is not all-encompassing and that’s why it is performed quickly and requires lesser amount of anesthesia than the standard facelift operation.
Secondly, it allows the patients to recover soon and they can return home shortly after the procedure.
These are the factors that help to keep the cost of face lift surgery lower than the other available options. You can recover soon and don’t face any difficulty to perform your daily tasks.
In this sort of procedure, key facial areas are enhanced with lesser risk and stress that are usually found in the standard facelift surgery. The cost effectiveness of the mini facelift makes it an attractive choice. It helps to reduce minor sagging around the cheeks, neck and jawline in considerably lesser price than the usual facelift approach. See our mini face lift cost page for more details.
The mini facelift is a quite new technique that can be performed quickly and takes shorter time for recovery. Under this procedure, specific areas of the face like neck and fold on the nose are focused. In mini facelift procedures, the cosmetic surgeon makes smaller incision and sometimes takes advantages of endoscopic facelift technology to lift, remove or reposition the facial tissues.
After eliminating those factors that contribute to unwanted sagging and drooping, the surgeon uses small sutures and repositions the skin.
Who can be benefited from Mini Facelift Surgery?
If you want to reduce the signs of aging because you feel that you are too young to have wrinkles and fine lines, mini face lift may prove a right option for you. However, if you have begun to notice sagging and drooping of your facial skin,
More often, these people want to remove minor sagging or drooping around the jaws, cheeks and neck area. However, traditional face lift surgery is considered a better option for those who want to address more serious sagging and drooping of the facial skin.
While in the standard procedures you have to wait for some time to get recover and start your daily work. Low prices and shorter duration of the treatment make mini facelift cost an attractive procedure. For more details and information you must consult a qualified cosmetic surgeon.
Mini Facelift Reviews:
Mini facelifts in general can be a great option for patients who want to maintain a natural look while repairing signs of aging, all without the more intensive surgery of a traditional facelift. Ultimately, you should look for a surgeon who will simply perform the procedure you need in order to safely get the results you want—no more, no less.
However, while a mini facelift can produce exceptional results (and has for thousands of patients in my own practice alone), I generally advise against “name brand” procedures that are essentially franchised out to surgeons throughout the country.
These surgeries tend to be a formulaic, step-by-step process with little customization to meet the patient’s needs, but in order to truly achieve the best results, your cosmetic surgery should be tailored to fit you.
To answer some of your more specific questions, the incisions made during a mini facelift will depend on the area you want to focus on (mid face, lower face, jowls, etc.). Some of the most common incision sites are just in front of the ears and on the underside of the chin.
Mini-Faelifts What to Expect
The mini-facelift is a great procedure in the correct patient. The best patient for a mini-facelift has loose skin and muscles/jowls in the cheeks, but not too much going on in the neck. If the neck is very loose/droopy, then a traditional facelift is necessary.
The incisions are around the ears very much like a traditional facelift but the mini-facelift doesn’t have an incision under the chin as the larger facelift does.
Most patients are in good shape to be out in public in less then 2 weeks. (Jonathan Pontell, MD, FACS, Philadelphia Facial Plastic Surgeon)
The term “mini” facelift can mean basically anything depending on the definition of the surgeon or patient. The term is often misunderstood as meaning less invasive, fewer or shorter scars, or less recovery time. However, the result of the procedure should be the primary goal regardless of technique.
In my practice, I define mini vs full facelift based on whether the neck needs to be addressed with a platysmaplasty. Many patients in their 40s or 50s do not yet have significant platysmal banding and the neck can be addressed with the periauricular incision.
The lack of the submental incision makes the incisions less visible and the surgical time less. (John L. Burns Jr., MD, Dallas Plastic Surgeon)
A mini facelift, or short scar facelift, offers many advantages over a traditional facelift: it is safer because it is performed with only local anesthesia, it is less expensive, and of course the scars are minimized and complication rates are lower.
Recovery time is minimize because of the short scar approach, but you can still expect a good solid week of downtime with swelling, and after that you may have some mild residual bruising that your physician may be able to easily laser away if they are knowledgeable and equipped to do so.
You will also have sutures for the majority of that first week. Scars with a facelift are very strategically hidden in around and behind your ears. Your surgeon will likely tailor your lift to your exact needs, which will alter the extent of your scars.
To ensure you are receiving the highest level of care, seek out a modernly trained, new-school dermatologic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who is board certified and fellowship trained in one of these “core four” cosmetic specialties.
Membership in organizations like the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery help to identify a highly trained surgeon. Cameron Chesnut #realself500 Physician. (Cameron Chesnut, MD, FAAD, FACMS, Spokane Dermatologic Surgeon)
Results, expectations and recovery from a mini lift
Even though it is a mini lift, there is still approximately 2 weeks of bruising and swelling that exists after the surgical procedure. Most patients refrain from social activities, exercise, the and work for that period of time. (William Portuese, MD, Seattle Facial Plastic Surgeon)
The incisions for a “mini lift” can be the same as those for a “full lift”. What counts is what is done underneath the skin. Different surgeons have different ideas about what constitutes a mini vs a full facelift.
Generally, the more you do to tighten the underlying tissues, the better your result and the longer lasting your result will be. I perform a procedure called the Rejuvelift. I customize the procedure based on what I believe what needs to be improved as well as the patient’s desires.
I usually perform it under local anesthesia with mild oral sedation (Valium). Depending on what is done to the underlying tissues, it can take up to three hours to perform. Fat transfer to improve facial volume can be done at the same time as well.
Mini lifts are less costly
Mini lifts and a full lower facelifts all have their roles for the specific patient. Both procedures target the jawline and jowls. Typically, both procedures have the same incisions in front and behind the ear.
A full lower facelift will have the incision extend down the posterior hairline and thus will get a better result in the neck and even a better result in the jawline because the longer incision allow for a stronger overall lift.
An individual may be well suited for a mini lift. It is important to consult with an experienced facelift surgeon to discuss which procedure would be the best for you when considering all these variables. (Raymond E. Lee, MD, Orange County Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Relatively speaking, and as you might expect, mini facelifts do cost less than the traditional facelift. Still, the price difference between the two procedures should be less important when determining which to proceed with than the possible results of the respective types of facelift surgery.
