We recommend waiting at least 3 days after your treatment to engage in intercourse. Some people may want to wait a little longer until they are feeling more comfortable. You may continue with normal sexual activity in between all treatments. We sometimes recommend avoiding intercourse a day or two prior to the diVa as well depending on your comfort level during the procedure.

Thanks for your question. So this is not uncommon after a labiaplasty. Sometimes the skin does not heal well due to exposure to trauma from wearing clothes, sitting and wiping after using the bathroom. Also, the blood supply is limited in this area which does increase the risk for inadequate healing.The resolution would be to allow healing to complete and then revise the separated area, thus repairing the defect.

Yes, you can keep your uterus with a uterine suspension surgery such as a colposacropexy. Vaginal rejuvenation can be preformed depending upon the nature of the weakness and symptoms you are having. Both of these could be preformed at the same time. You would also have the option of using a pessary for the prolapse. The type of procedure would depend partly on whether or not you desire any further pregnancies.

The recommended treatment plan for patients who complain of vaginal dryness, bladder leakage, pain with intercourse and other similar issues is three treatments spaced at 4-6 week intervals for best results. However, each person is unique and may require more or less depending upon the issues we are addressing. For example, we see many cancer survivors who cannot use estrogen therapy for vaginal dryness. These patients may need more treatments to maximize results.
