Has Anyone Had Experience with Bleph Incisions in This Location? Is There Any Chance
Scars at the sites of upper eyelid blepharoplasties
Sep 30, 2013
It may take up to 6 months to have the incision areas look like the neighboring skin. Anytime one has trauma or surgical incision, it could take several months for the wound to mature. I see that you have obvious visible incision sites, I would not call scars at this time. Everyone behaves differently to the same surgical undertaking and I would not recommend any surgical intervention at this time and advice conservative approaches to mask the incision sites. It is possible that with…
I Am 16 Years Old, Have Saggy Droopy Eyelids That’s Effecting my Vision and Make Me L
Saggy, droopy eyelids making one look older than age
Sep 30, 2013
From the pictures which you have provided, I could not determine your marginal reflex distance (MRD1). This is very important to see if your upper eyelids droopiness is also causing your visual fields defect beside making you look older and “madder,” as you state. Upper eyelid lift definitely can help with enhanced brighter appearance and may improve visual field as well. One has to examine you to determine what kind of options can be used to address your concerns.
Undoing MGJW Ptosis Surgery, As I Am Not Happy with the Result?
Correction of Marcus Gun Jaw Winking ptosis surgery is challenging.
Jul 24, 2013
Depending how long ago you had a sling placed and what kind of sling you had. Sometimes, scaring around the sling can form and even if the sling is removed, eyelid elevation with frontalis use can continue to occur. On the other hand if you had silicone sling and it is recent, chances are that your eyelid ptosis will recur and you may not have down-gaze eyelid tightness or retraction after the sling is removed.

Have you been given a choice of doing bilateral levator dis-insertion and…

Revising Misinterpreted Previous Question Regarding Surgically Making Eyes Appear to
Very nice illustration of hypothetical case
Jul 24, 2013
Impressive illustration and the story. People will try anything to be someone else rather than in their own skin and be happy. Nothing wrong to bring one’s own inner beauty by any means which makes one to like them more as long as it is not done to please someone else.
What Are the Consequences of Bulging Eyes Surgery?
Consequences of Bulging Eyes Surgery
Jul 24, 2013
There are many causes of bulging eyes (proptosis) both in adults and children. The most common cause of unilateral or bilateral bulging of the eyes in adults is thyroid-related ophthalmopathy which can cause eyelid retraction as an isolated phenomenon or in combination with proptosis.

While surgery for bulging eyes is undertaken to help with vision loss due to compressive optic neuropathy, proptosis and exposure keratopathy. It can also cause double vision if there was not pre-existing,…

Still Excess Skin After Upper Bleph?
Limited upper eyelid blepharoplasty but not happy with residual skin folds
Jul 24, 2013
Your photos shows that you do have minimal skin fold when your eye is closed. When your eye is open you do have mild lower eyelid retraction which makes your eye fissure appear more wider than it is.

One may consider removing the upper eyelid skin fold if it causes significant concern. On the other hand you may consider awaiting couple of years before resorting to re-do. In my opinion, you are better off having less skin removal than having too much at one time. I am sure your doctor…

Ectropian Issue, What to Do?
Over or under correction of epicanthal folds and resultant ectropion
Jul 24, 2013
Eyelid surgery requires skilled hands and epicanthal folds demand precise measurements before any surgery is contemplated.

In your case, one has to be careful in proceeding to the next step since you have two new issues now in addition to the recurrent epicanthal folds. I wished you had waited as with timing you wound have some of the over corrected epicanthoplasty relaxed. Since you have now ectropion, one needs to be careful and create incisions where existing scars can be eliminated…
