It is very common to have significant swelling especially in the tip for the first 3 month following rhinoplasty. Swelling typically collects in the tip because this is the most dependent portion of the nose. It can take 6 months, even a full year before you know the final result of what the tip of the nose will look like following surgery.

It is very normal to have issues with your breathing for the first year after rhinoplasty. The two ‘glands’ that I believe you are seeing are your turbinates. They live on the side of the nose and are meant to moisten and filter the air your breath. They are supposed to be there but can become inflamed if you have issues with allergies. I typically recommend that people using saline nasal irrigations to decrease dried mucus following nasal surgery, hopefully this cuts down the amount…
