How is SmartGraft different from regular FUE?
SmartGraft is regular FUE but enhanced!
Dec 26, 2019
This is a good question. The main differences in my practice between SmartGraft and regular FUE are that SmartGraft is a closed system, so grafts are excised and stored directly in a storage device without having to be manually removed from the excision site. This means the grafts are not exposed to potential additional trauma. Furthermore, I have found that with the smart graft I can reduce the depth of my incision with the punch this means less tissue trauma and faster healing of the…
Is it harmful to use oil after 1 months and 1 week after hair transplant?
Oil is good…
Dec 26, 2019
Given the stage your at after hair transplant i.e. 6 weeks there is no issue with using oil. Both organ and coconut oil are fine to use. In fact a lot of my clients at this stage prefer to use oil in order to reduce the itch and dryness that may occur. It helps sooth the scalp. All the best.
Would FUE be able to treat the folliculitis scarring I have on the nape of my neck? (P
Nape scarring… SMP!
Dec 25, 2019
First of all before embarking on any treatment for scarring in this scenario it is important that the underlying cause i.e. the folliculitis is treated fully and is dormant. In relation to scarring in the nape of the neck I would not always advise placing FUE grafts to camouflage the area, a better option may be scalp micropigmentation. Ultimately the best treatment options are dependent on what exactly you would like to achieve and as always I would advise seeking a…
Are there different growth patterns after FUE transplant?
Varying growth patterns.
Dec 6, 2019
My advice would be not to jump to any conclusions until you are around 18 months post hair transplant. Until this point the hair growth can be dynamic following a hair transplant (although after 12 months in my experience things tend to be stable). Various factors may be playing a part for example your use of finasteride and the topical minoxidil. Also, there may be other environmental factors that cause an issue, such as stress. The early growth you noticed at 5 months…
Almost 7 weeks after hair transplant, some transplanted hair has fallen, some has not.
The shedding phase !
Dec 6, 2019
This is a completely normal and physiological phase to be expected after a hair transplant. In my experience I have found that post hair transplant clients shed to different extents and also at slightly differing times. Most of the shedding however tends to be within the first 3 months. All the best with your hair restoration journey.
