Thank you for your question. I like to recommend complete abstinence from nicotine for 6 weeks prior to surgery and 6 weeks after. Nicotine increases the risk of infection and skin necrosis/loss with a tummy tuck. With a mini tummy tuck, you will not see much improvement to the upper or central abdomen.
