As a plastic surgeon, would you turn away a potential patient if they didn’t want a full rhinoplas
Alarplasty
Jun 9, 2015
I have not seen your photos and cannot pull them up from your previous post. If all you desire is to narrow your nostrils that is easily accomplished. What we as plastic surgeons concern ourselves with is to maintain a good balance with the nose. If your tip is wide, narrowing the alar width my cause the tip of your nose to actually appear larger and more prominent. I would recommend actually visiting with a plastic surgeon or two to have a discussion and see what the…

No lift?
May 12, 2015
Your photos would definitely suggest that you need a lift even with larger implants. Without a lift, you will have larger breasts but they will be too low and you will look more matronly. Because your breasts are already sagging, adding more wieght to them with implants will only increase the degree of sagginess. Implants themselves do not cause a lift to happen.
Do I have tubular breasts? And if so how can they be corrected?
Tubular breasts
May 11, 2015
From your photo I would not necessarily call your breasts tuberous. You do have larger areola and some narrowing of the breasts. I think the appropriate procedure to consider would be a breast lift which would reduce the size of your areola and make your breasts more rounded in shape. This will result in some scars–at least a circular scar around your nipples so the size can be reduced. Overall, your breasts appear to be reasonable normal and I don’t think you…
My nose is bigger than big. Please tell me what my options are.
Big nose
May 11, 2015
You appear to be a good candidate for a rhinoplasty. The overall size of your nose can be reduced and the balance of your nose to your face can be improved. You are old enough that your nose should have stopped changing and it is an appropriate time to consider surgery. You will need to schedule a consultation with a plastci surgeon who will be able to evaluate your nose completely and suggest possible changes that can be made. Good Luck!
Any suggestions fro breast asymmetry?
Breast asymmetry
Apr 30, 2015
This can be a complex situation. Generally, it is good to use the same size implant but this can vary based on the actual width of the individual breasts as well as the overall size. It is an option to remove some breast tissue from the larger breast. It is also an option to do this procedure in two stages, that is perform the lift on the smaller side and a reduction on the larger side first, then go back in a few months and do an augmentation. There is no absolute…
Still sagging after facelift. Is this normal?
Still sagging
Apr 30, 2015
It is too early to judge the results of a facelift. You will need to wait a couple of months to see the actual results of your surgery. Early after surgery due to swelling and initial skin tightening, the results may appear to be smoother and tighter than the eventual appearance. The swelling masks some laxity and the degree of elasticity of the skin will determine how much the skin may relax during the healing process.

skin laxity after abdomnioplasty
Apr 30, 2015
Without photos, it is difficult to determine what might be helpful to you. You have to remember that your skin does not have the same elasticity after a 100# weight loss. There is always some relaxation afterwards. It is not uncommon to need to re-tighten the skin again. I doubt that any laser treatments would be of much use.
Would I be a good candidate for rhinoplasty?
Correct for your nose.
Apr 30, 2015
The pictures you submitted are not very useful for giving good advice. From what I can tell, there is very likely to be a prcedure that would lift your tip and reduce it as well as decrease the “arrow” appearance of your nose. You definitely need to consult with a good rhinoplasty surgeon.

Bigger implants or a lift
Apr 30, 2015
Larger implants will give only a minimal degrtee of lift. Generally, you will end up with larger breasts that hang lower on your chest. This can give a matronly appearance. Photos would be very helpful in giving better input.

early results from rhinoplasty
Apr 23, 2015
The recovery from rhinoplasty can be frustrating. Swelling takes a considerable amount of time to recede. In some cases changes will occur over a period of a year. At this time it is too early to judge the final result. I would advise relaying your concerns to your surgeon and try to be patient.

candidate for liposuction
Apr 23, 2015
From your photos it appears to me that you are an excellent candidate for liposuction. The results from liposuction are due to several factors. The two most important are the skill with which the procedure is performed and the character and quality of your skin. The actual device used is far less important to the end result. Good luck!
Why is it that the shape of the skin (tragus?) that connects to the ear looks different after a fa
distortion of the tragus from a facelift
Apr 23, 2015
I agree with everything previous posters have said. There can be no tension on the tragus closure. The incision needs to follow the normal contours of the ear as closely as possible. The skin that will be covering the tragus each the thinned on the undersurface so that there is no fat remaining. Sometimes a carefully placed suture just in front of the tragus is useful to re-create the depression that is present there normally. The same applies to the earlobe. The normal curvature of…
Getting Liposuction on neck. Any visible marks?
Neck liposuction
Apr 23, 2015
The incisions used for liposuction are very small and will not show. Usually there is one under the chin and then perhaps just behind the earlobes depending upon what actually needs to be done. You mentioned that you expect the skin to tighten. Liposuction only tightens the skin to the degree that the skin will have enough elasticity to contract. If you have loose skin prior to having liposuction the skin may actually appear more loose after the liposuction…

Liposuction
Apr 14, 2015
It appears to me that you may be a good candidate for liposuction. The stretch marks on your inner thighs will not go away and they do indicate some degreeed of laxity of the skin. Liposuction of this area will need to be done very carefully to get a nice smooth result. I do not think that you will need any other surgeries.
Is Fat Repositioning During Lower Blepharoplasty a Common Procedure?
Fat repositioning in lower eyelid surgery
May 15, 2013
Fat repositioning in the course of performing lower eyelid surgery is a terrific tool and definitely can enhance the results. I rarely remove fat from lower eyelids as I believe that this frequently leads to a hollowed out appearance if not immediately, then years down the road. Repositioning fat does not significantly add to the complexity of the operation or the healing time. The fat will survive as it still has it’s blood supply. This is different than fat grafting…
