Persian female desiring softening of her ethnic nose and correction of a deviated septum. Vertically-oriented lower lateral cartilages were identified on her preoperative exam, which would cause extreme alar narrowing and nasal obstruction following rhinoplasty if her ala weren’t reinforced by repositioning the cartilage to a more horizontal direction and/or alar rim grafts.
