Could Botox help this congenital depression in the center of forehead?
Could Botox help this congenital depression in the center of forehead?
Dec 9, 2018
Hello and thank you for your question and photos. While Botox is great for addressing dynamic wrinkles of the face, it will likely not offer much improvement to your forehead depression unless used in combination with filler.   This combination of treatments will help control dynamic furrowing and also smooth the contour irregularities present at rest.
I hope this advice helps you and I wish you the best of luck.

Re: I had a rhinoplasty in 2012 to correct a hooked nose; it was perfect for the first few years but now looks deformed.
Dec 9, 2018
Hello and thank you for your question and photos. After rhinoplasty, the nose takes many years to heal.  This often involves 3D shrink-wrap healing of the skin and soft tissues.  As this occurs, the normal cartilage of the nose can become deformed or warped.  If the nasal cartilage is weak or thin, the overall shape and structure of the nose can become compromised.  I hope this advice helps you and I wish you the best of luck.

Can stitches or fillers in my nostril help my nose look symmetrical from the front? I had rhinoplasty done about 6 months ago
Dec 9, 2018
Hello and thank you for your question and photosSlight nostril asymmetry is very common in patients following rhinoplasty.  It is also a very difficult issue to correct, as perfect symmetry is often impossible to achieve.  At times, the asymmetry can even be due to normal facial anatomy.  It is important, however, to allow your nose adequate healing time from your previous rhinoplasty before pursuing further interventions (surgical or non-surgical).  For a full assessment, an in person evalu...

I Hit my Nose, Is the Swelling Mean Permanent Damage?
Sep 20, 2018
Hello and thank you so much for your question. With the amount of swelling still present, this can create the appearance of asymmetry and irregularities. I suggest an in-person consultation with a rhinoplasty specialist to ensure permanent damage was not done to the nose and to take the correct measures in a timely fashion. I hope this information helps and I wish you the best of luck.

Hello and thank you for your question, At 6 weeks post op, you are fine to begin to eat spicy food. This should not effect the final result of your rhinoplasty. Thank you and I wish you the best of luck.

Rhinoplasty and chin implant: are my desired results achievable? (Photos)
Jul 23, 2018
Hello and thank you for your photos and question. It looks as though you would be a great candidate for both a rhinoplasty and chin augmentation. I suggest an in-person consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon. He or she may be able to use computer morphed imaging to show what they feel is achievable with surgery. They should also be able to discuss exact pricing with you at the time of the consultation as well. I hope this information helps and I wish you the best of luck.

10 days is still very soon after surgery, and swelling will influence the appearance of your result. In general, swelling can give the appearance of:

1) Asymmetry
2) Irregularities

I would recommend giving it some time and see how you continue to heal, as the nose changes over time. Your surgeon should be able to answer any questions regarding healing, as he/she knows the details of your procedure. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

When can I play watersports after graft revision rhinoplasty?
Jun 27, 2018
Hello, and thank you for the question. In general, it is best to wait at least 6 months after surgery before participating in contact sports. The patient should participate with extreme caution even following this timeframe. Experiencing trauma to the nose within 6 months of the surgery can have a great impact on the intricate work performed by the surgeon. I would recommend following up with your surgeon regarding his or her specific guidelines. I hope this information helps, and I wish you...

Hello, and thank you for your question and photos. At 10 weeks post-op, there is a large amount of swelling still present; this can create the appearance of asymmetry and irregularities. In general, 70% of the swelling subsides after 3-4 months, and it may take 18-24 months to see the final results of surgery. Swelling after surgery can be due to the following:

Whether the procedure was a revision
Whether the procedure was open or closed
Whether tip work was performed

In general, it is possible to correct the nasal tip with revision rhinoplasty, and the decision to have the revision is strictly a personal preference. I would recommend seeking the advice of a board certified revision rhinoplasty specialist. He/she may use computer imaging software to morph a photo of you, which will give you an idea of how the final result of surgery may appear.
